11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crocheted stuff... on: October 10, 2014 09:23:13 AM
Thanks all for your nice comments!  Cheesy

I just like crocheting so much, it is relaxing, not too expensive and you can bring it with you. So a good thing to do while waiting, driving along in the card, and so on.

You should try the puff stitch, really not so complicated at all! It does look that way, the only 'tricky' part is to create loops of the same size. You can find lots of tutorials on youtube. That helped me a lot. I made two and then crocheted them together.

@ liliv, I think it is easier to learn than sewing. Plus if it doesn't work out, you just pull the tread and start all over again, haha!  Smiley

I also crocheted a poncho, a monkey and a cactus... Now to find the time to take and post pictures...

Eeep!! Spiders scare the heck out of me!! Except the really tiny ones.

I don't feel any different about the felted blue spider, but that means you did a GREAT job!! It looks way too real even though it is blue  Grin

This rocks and so do you!  Cheesy

Hi all!

I refound my love for crochet and can't stop  Smiley So here are a few of my projects.

African flowers, these were for Calabaza in the IYP swap. So fun to make, quick and relaxing.

This was made with the puff stitch. I fell in love with the looks and had to learn it! It isn't difficult, but it took a few to get it more even. I am pretty proud of this! I did have a pattern, but that didn't work for me so I went with what looked good. It is lined and handsewn onto the purse frame.
Also for Calabaza for the IYP swap.

I received such a cute little jar with cozy like this one as a thank you-gift and had to try and make one myself. I used a large glass jar and tried a pattern I liked. Simply single and double crochet, nothing fancy. I really like it! Romantic with a large candle...  Smiley

Thanks for looking!  Cheesy (c&c is always welcome!)

Thanks for your nice comments ladies! I love crocheting and the puff stitch was a new stitch I wanted to learn. I saw a picture of purse made with the puff stitch and it came with a tutorial, which I didn't understand  Roll Eyes haha so I googled for the puff stitch and tried and tried untill iI was satisfied. Not very difficult though. I will have to look if I can find the picture and the tute for it.

Using the African flower for a pocket is a good idea! Why didn't I think of that!!
I loved swapping with you, C! If you need any more flowers, just pm and I crochet them for you  Smiley

P_E_S_T that felted doll... wow! Beautiful!! And the journal is such a treasure! I will have to go and look at it more closely! Will do so another time.

Averia, your stitches are the neatest! Those bears are so cute! Love the the handbag too!
