1  Re: Our Favorite Doctor Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by monkey_girl on: May 15, 2014 12:11:42 AM
Finally! My goodies from whenindoubtsew arrived!

My favourite Doctor is Tom Baker - so she made me the most perfect Tom Baker scarf. Winter really has arrived here in the last week so it is perfect.
Sorry these are sideways - but as you can see from the selfie, I'm pretty happy with my scarf.

My favourite Monster is the Ood and whenindoubtsew made me pretty much the best bag - EVER!!

I  also received a very cool tee shirt with my favourite doctors quote on it.

Finally I did receive a wee extra - these lovely stamps....

Thanks so much for being such a great swap partner whenindoubtsew

Hey Monster lovers - I recieved last week from the wonderful agirlnamedsioux, however, due to my brother having an accident I had to head out of town. I took my netbook with me, but to be honest, I've not had much down time since. I'm finally having a quiet morning - so I can post my goodies!

First up - when I opened my package, I found this mini poster, one of my favourite movies EVER! this is going to get framed when I finally return home.
When I opened the package, everything was wrapped so beautifully.
First up - this incredible necklace, with interchangeable movie monsters.

Also this wonderful crochet softie - which includes my two favourite things - zombies and Hello Kitty! I also received a wonderful zombie bird in a cage - what an awesome idea!
We also agree to swap some candy/chocolate and I was totally spoiled!
Finally I got one last extra - a tee shirt of a local band - how cool is the design!

Thanks so much agirlnamedsioux and sorry everyone - I know some of the photos are sideways, I don't have much time to sort them out right now Sad

Hi Guys - so my partner appears to have gone AWOL! Which is a bit of a bummer, but not much can be done about it. I'm going to use some of the things I made for her in another swap, so I'm not going to post everything I made her (I'd hate another swap partner see this thread and then not be surprised) but I thought I'd include pictures of the things that I won't be using in another swap. My partners choice of colour was black, so first up I made this little apron. I also made her a bunch of buttons from some black fabric scraps I had. Glad I could share these things, even if the swap didn't work out for me!

Yah! I received a wonderful package from Megz1027! Here's what I saw when I opened the box.

I received a couple of really fun hoops - I really need to remember these cute phrases on a bad day Smiley

I also got these stickers - I'm trying to keep a "top 5 things" diary this year (basically write down the top 5 highlights of each day) so these are kind of perfect.

I don't remember telling my partner how much I liked tea - but she sent me a whole bunch!

Finally - all kinds of treats! Junior Mints (one of my favs which we don't have here in New Zealand) and girl scout cookies along with other Valentines treats:)

8  Re: Spell My Name Round 8 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by monkey_girl on: May 13, 2012 12:36:21 AM
Yah - I received for Clumsy_Momma earlier this week, sorry I didn't post earlier as my work week was insane!

So here's the goodies I received - My name IRL is "Teresa" so here's my goodies -

T = "Trio of bows" - interchangeable set of hair bows

E = Extra cute "create your own" stuff - includes a colouring book with lots of cute pictures I can embroider and a little toy that you can colour and make your own:)

R = Recycled yarn coaster for two - This will be great in our kitchen

Ok so I'm putting "E" and "A" together in the same photo, even though that's not how you spell my name;)

So basically I've been wearing these EVERY day since they turned up - they are perfect as I live in the southern hemisphere (new zealand) and its winter here!

"E" - Every which way cowl
"A" - All-day beret pattern by Debbie Stoller

Finally I'll finish off with "S" for Sanrio Art!

I love sanrio and all things kawaii cute:D These guys are now sitting next to my sewing machine.

Thanks for a great package clumsy_momma!

Hey All - because Bec99 is having problems with her camera, I offered to post pictures of what I sent to her.

First up - I made this bunting from some cute ghost fabric.

Next up is a fabric collage - this is the first time I've ever made anything like this, but I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

This wee guy is a rosette brooch - I thought it would look cool on a jacket.

Finally a "little devil" brooch.

I also made Bec99 one final thing, but it wasn't finished in time! So its still on its way to Brisbane, but I hope it arrives soon:)
