12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Pimp my pram! on: May 01, 2011 05:09:16 PM
I thought I'd turn a crap situation into a better one when my little guy decided he hated the Mei Tai carrier I had bought for him & prefered the cruddy stroller; I sold the Mei Tai & bought a second-hand pram for a song but it needed gussying up.

I re-covered all the icky bits with Echino fabric & I love the result so I thought I'd share here in-case anybody was wondering what they could do with an old pram that has seen better days. Smiley

Thanks for looking!

Hullo! I got an iPod touch for my birthday recently & I am in luff!!  Wink I have been searching on etsy for cool covers - but I needed one asap since I've been taking it EVERYWHERE, so I made a quick cosy from one of my stash of vintage ties. I made a lil'tute for my blog, so I thought I'd share it here too. Smiley

14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Repurposed into Pincushions... on: June 05, 2010 05:33:20 PM
How very cute! I like the blanket one. And I LOVE the nesting doll one! I've never seen a set of measuring cups like that! You said you're getting yourself another set- would you mind sharing where you got them? I'd love to get myself a set too! I just adore them!

I'm in Oz, got them on the evilbay lol, they were about $17-$18.

Thanks all - I wish I could have kept one of them, but I already have two spiffing pincushions in return, with another two to come!
15  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Repurposed into Pincushions... on: June 05, 2010 01:36:11 AM
I recently participated in a pincushion swap on my blog & thought I'd share what I made - I only realised when I posted these pics on my blog that everything was repurposed!

This was made out of two cups from a matryoska measuring cup set - some of the set was melted so I thought using it for crafty good was the way to go, so that I could get another set guilt-free...

Two vintage eggcups:

And a bit of old blanket!

Thanks for looking - I hope maybe I have given you a couple of ideas if you ever find yourself in dire need of a pincushion... Wink
