1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Refashioned jeans into a denim apron on: March 13, 2008 09:33:48 AM
I finally gave into the fact that I'd never get myself into these pre-baby jeans so I made them into an apron.  The bottom and back of the apron is from a skirt I got at the thrift store.  I am really happy with how it turned out!

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / What is this keychain piece called? on: December 26, 2007 01:44:00 PM
I want to make keychains to match my purses, and want to use a specific piece.  It is pictured on this page (scroll down for the picture) and they call it EZ Adjustable Keyring Attachment (4th product down).  Does anyone know what this piece is called?

I want to compare prices and also search for it on eBay, but can't figure out what it might be called by the rest of the world.

3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Self-healing cutting mat smell on: December 08, 2007 06:53:02 AM
I've had my cutting mat (Fiskar) for about 2 months and the smell is still horrible. My husband says the smell is like a dead animal.  Roll Eyes I don't think it is quite that bad, but it's still pretty nasty. I read online a suggestion for washing it down with dish detergent, but that hasn't helped.

Does anyone else have this problem?  Any solutions on how to get rid of the smell?
