1  Re: 14 Quilt Projects in 2014 Quilt Along! in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by sloth003 on: July 13, 2014 06:08:06 PM
Here is a super short notice baby quilt. I got the call on Thursday morning that the "middle of the month" pick ip was going to be "Sunday night" normally. No big deal. But this weekend my dragon boat team was traveling to an event Friday-Sunday.

And I worked Thursday and had practice Thursday night. Roll Eyes

I got it pieced and quilted Thursday night before bed ( ok fine technically Friday morning) and had a good quick drive home today to get it bound. This one is SO not my style.

Well the pattern is. But not the colour  Tongue

A little late but here's June. I think it is neat you can see the heat build up. Then drop after thunderstorms.  Wink

And sliding in... my package arrived. Smiley

Sadly. Not all in one piece tho. Sad you can see how much work Myriad put into making six individualized pint glasses. there was one per character. Miracle Max and Vezzini made it. Smiley
The man in black, buttercup, indigo and fezzik did not. Sad

The was some soap to wash off the "fire swamp" (smells fantastic but I need to know if there is any lavender in it?)

Also a tshirt a very common thread this swap. Wink

Some mini bottles so I can carry my own iocane. and a fantastic plaque with one of my favourite quotes. This will hang in the library corner. Smiley

Thanks for swapping Myrdda hope life balances out for you. Smiley

Here is the six completed tops from my bot's shirts. This is the reason I started teaching myself to quilt way back in '07. A few of the shirts I just lived and could send in to the good will.

In order from left will be for. My mom and dad, my sister, hubs mom, hubs aunt, the bot and us. Now to find the right backings for all. Smiley

7  the second quilt of spinning fire in Quilting: Completed Projects by sloth003 on: May 13, 2014 07:24:31 AM
Again from the Quilt Block swap5. The second quilt made from this swap. I really like this one. Sashed and bound with black and quilted in all the reds, oranges and yellows I had in stash.

This is a wee baby quilt. Like really wee. 26x32 maybe. It's proof of concept for a plan I have for a larger more complex song.

The lightest blue is G. Smiley

9  the "every day im rufflin" quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by sloth003 on: May 06, 2014 07:00:23 AM
Yeah. LMFAO has been going thru my head the entire time I have been working on this quilt.   Cheesy
inspired by donniesgirl's textured blocks from... a quilt block away a while ago... I'm not sure which one. I upsized  the ruffle block and tried to go "low colour volume" I'm still not quite there in colour selections outside of my bold and brash comfort zone.

I like how this one turned out. I love the ruffle block and can see this one being made again. And again.
