1222  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Fill-A-Box Round 8!! (Closed 10:22 PM EST 7/31 - Sendouts 8/23) (US only) on: July 21, 2008 12:58:50 PM
I just sent in my info. I am super excited about this swap. I am moving to Thailand or Malaysia in a couple of months, so I really need to purge my craft supply and load up on things that might be harder to find over there.

here is a breif listing of what I have and what I can offer.

HAVE:
I have lots of little whimsy type supplies, buttons, beads, jewlery making supplies, scrapbook paper, vintage sewing notions.

WOULD LIKE:
I really want to learn how to spin my own yarn, so any unwanted drop spindles and roving/fiber would be put to good use. I could also use fabric, yarn, and rubber stamps and retro paper ephemera. I will also use any unwanted thread or sewing supplies Smiley

I love this swap!!

I finally got a cubicle with a window, but it could still use some sprucing up! I would totally be up for this swap!

I will claim mimiw for a mobile for the nursery and the copper mobile.

This is (3,0,0) for me this round

I am 27 years old and live in Wisconsin with my husband and our two cats. I love crafts that reflect nature and/or reuse and recycle materials. I also like funky, freaky, weird, cool, unusual craft items. My favorite colors are chocolate brown, blue and green. I am not a big fan of pinks or any thing too girly. I love to sew, decoupage, make paper and play with polymer clay.

On to the wish list:

Super Big wishes are bold

Crafted Items

-   Art work for my new house. I have a lot of bare walls that look so sad it makes me want to hug them and tell them its not that I don't love you- it's just that I suck at making things pretty enough to hang on you. I would love something embroidered like these:

1228  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Favorite Movie Swap Gallery on: July 16, 2008 10:30:14 AM
A survival kit for a midnight showing of RHPS. Inside is a bunch of stuff to use during the movie, and directions on how to use it. Since, they don't have these showings here, I may have to recreate it on my own.
....
[snip]
....
Since, I am from Wisconsin...
Oh, I beg to differ my dear! I am from Wisconsin too, and there ARE showings here. I don't know what part of Wisconsin you are in, but I know Milwaukee has a show every secons Saturday of the month I believe http://www.altslashgo.com/sd/main.shtml
and Madison has shows the opposite Saturdays at the Orpheum though they are on hiatus for a bit http://www.velvetdarkness.org/

You simply have no excuse now! Awesome swap goodies by the way!

I did know about the showings in Madison, but I am 3 hours from madison and 5 hours from Milwaukee. Maybe the next time I visit friends in Milwaukee, I will have to make sure it is the second Saturday of the month  Grin Thanks for the tip!
