21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 35 Gallery on: July 23, 2008 05:13:59 AM
MommytheMaid spoiled me in yesterday's mail with a box full of crafty goodness!

First the apron from my list of wishes.  It has cute teal trim trimming with tiny flowers and really great ties!
This is the best of the 10 pictures the 9 year old took Wink

She also included some great supplies: 5 colors of Fabric Paint and Raspberry Tea (one of my favorites!)

Then, she spoiled me further with two pieces of quilt batting for quilted bags! Each piece is large and she sent me two different thicknesses to play with!

Big Thank Yous, MommytheMaid!! I love it all! (and haven't taken off the apron since the photos Cheesy)

I actually created this pattern myself!  What do you think? ((excuse the wind that came from nowhere))

I'm really happy with how this came out.  Now I'm going to make one for each of the boys and hang it from their door handle for them to use!  Tell me what you think?

I think the lighting was just bad on the last one there. I just painted the design Smiley

I used machine quilting thread as it is stronger.....
25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Uneven peterpan collar help plus overall design on: July 15, 2008 10:16:16 PM
Here you see a little dress I'm making for a friend.  This is the fabric she gave me.  First I'm afraid it looks a bit dreary or morose ...Should I add something to cheer it up ??  This is sized for a young girl...size 6-8 (sizing seems weird to me, so I'm hitting low towards 6)

also, you'll notice the peterpan collar doesn't quiet match....any suggestion?  Ripping it out and starting over is an option but the teal fabric was horrid to work with.

Thanks for any suggestions (not hemmed and hanging crooked on hanger...ignore my explosion that happens when I sew))

I'm so glad that you and your daughter like them!! They were fun to make!  I'm glad you can use the Tinkerbell fabric...I have all boys and don't know how I even have it!!

That's really a great lunchbag...love that it's reversable.  Do you think it'll keep foods cold?

Well, it is not insulated, but some sort of ice pack should help.

Thanks for all the replies gals.  The design is a simple jordy bottom type thing with a loop and a tie, lining and interfacing.

I'm thinking about making more as school is just around the corner.

What do you think of these? I thought they'd be great to take to school or work!
