Phew. I’ve been way busy. So my friend is having a fashion show for her senior project and I am one of the designers showing in it. It’s an all green eco-fashion show, so I’m using my all sheet collection. So yeah. I am trying to show 10-13 pieces and I already have 6 so I’m on track so far.
This dress is awesome; I love the placement of the PR logo right on the bodice. The pattern for this dress is so odd, but the result is beautiful. But the bias tape killed me… bias tape will be the death of me

The outer skirt is awesome because it is a full circle, and if you hold it up it makes the complete picture.

This is another piece I am showing, and I did 95% of it today, my friend came over and helped me with it ( thanks Lindsay!) its made of a relatively new TMNT sheet I found at goodwill 3 years ago, this project cost me like nothing. The sheet was $3, grommets were $3, the hook and eye tape I got for $2 a yard!!!!!! It was originally 21.99 a yard but somehow it rang up as 1.99 a yard so I bought 6 yards =) , and I bought the rest of the stores boning last week, because it was 10 cents a yard, so I bought 93 yards, yes you read correctly 93 yards… so this whole project cost me, around $8.50.
I put hook and eyes up the front so you don’t have to completely lace it up every time, and because it looks cool.

 I love to put in grommets, even though these didn’t come out so hot.

This is another piece I am showing. NKOTB shorts! I made these from an awesome vintage 80’s pattern I found. I lined them with muslin. They have a big elastic waistband and pockets!

And lastly, this is a WIP, but I figured I would give you guys a sneak peek. It is another corset( different pattern )  but made with beauty and the beats sheets.

so i saw megs episode about clock, and i was like "i so wanna do that to random stuff"



i remembered that my dad made a whole bunch of clocks awhile ago, and it just so happened he still had 2 kits with all of the pieces left, and i just so happened to have an old footloose album....hmmmmm

okey dokey, well i saw the latest episode  of threadbanger and i was like OMG!

i love fanny packs, and ive been wanting to make one forever...

ive also wanted to make a bag out of an old billboard, ( you can find tons of them on etsy), and i knew i could do that, so i was at the thrift store the other day, and i saw a HAIRSPRAY the movie poster billboard thing... 

it looked just like this





and then i saw the episode and i decided to combine them...

what possessed me to do that? IDK? and i still dont know

it only took a couple hours to finish, and i somehow had the perfect

everything to go with it, the buckle i had, along with the webbing

and the zipper.....there are a few imperfections in it, but hey it was my first one and i think its quite rad......

My Theater Dept just finished their performances of Pride and Prejudice
I made 6 costumes .
I made the 5 Bennett Girls and Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
I drafted the patterns for all of the Bennett Girls.YAY
and i made all of Lady Catherines stuff without a pattern excpet for her corset.

The Bennett dresses are just plain cotton lined with muslin and zippers up the back. Lady Catherine was definitely my favorite to make. She is wearing a farthingale ( foam hips) that I made myself. I made them out of foam, they Velcro in the front and have suspender-like straps. The skirt then sits on top of them, and then the corset sucks everything all together. I would love to hear feedback, and if you have any questions on anything please ask me.

ok so at work we needed some more corsets, and since i being kinda the only one who can sew, am going to have to make them

and other notions and got to work
13 hours later and omg many many many naughty words, pricked fingers, and many broken pins, and a very angry machine i have this!!!

I know I haven tlike posted in forever
Except for like a few days ago
That’s because ive been way busy with my latest project  , I’m going to the international thespian conference in july, and I am taking a costume to compete with. The competition, is for costume construction: garment patterning and construction. In this competition they give you a show ( Private Lives by Noel Coward circa 1930) And they said you have to make a costume for a female character form that show. Granted there is only 2 , so it wasn’t that hard. You have to do research on time period, socioeconomic status, location, etc, etc, etc. SO I did my research and here is some stuff from that time period , which are alos the pics I used in the main design of my costume.

Okay so now onto what I actually did, I got a dressform for Christmas and the new threadbanger machine OMG, it’s the TB30 omg!!!!!!!  First I “drew” out my shape of the bodice with masking tape, like they do on project runway .theni draped the bodice with rugrats sheets kinda sorta made pattern pieces ,and then put them on my good fabric ……….
Okay so instead of explain all of this im just going to put a whole bunch of pics so you can see,I haven’t done the cape yet, but the dress is finished yay!

so a long time ago victoria and i found this awesome snoopy fabric at a thrift store. it was awesome cause it was like a jersery knit, like t shirt material. and i think it was only like 2.00. and i think we got like 2 or 3 yards . and so today victoria told me that she wanted a pair of shorts, made form it. and i remembered i had printed out and assembled a pattern from burdastyle , it was the "ANDRE" pattern , its for a pair of mens bathing shorts, so we did it and here it is.
