1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitted wedding gifts? on: April 27, 2007 11:47:59 AM
My 18 year old friend is getting married on the 12th, and she hasn't mentioned anything about getting her gifts but I would like to give her and her husband some knitted things to congratulate them Smiley

Unfortunately Google hasn't really helped me out, and the only idea I have thought of so far is dishcloths. Anyone has any ideas?

Thank you Smiley
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / In need of shrug pattern! on: April 09, 2007 07:01:15 PM
I've browsed around the internet for what I am looking for, but maybe I overlooked something and would love some help from fellow Craftsters Smiley

Two weeks ago I went to Savannah and went to the LYS downtown (Wild Fibres, a really lovely place) and got two skeins of Knit One Crochet Too's Ty-Dy cotton yarn. Ever since I have tried to find a pattern to use it for, but haven't really found what I am looking for.

I want a shrug that can be done on circular and/or straight needles, for I am not good with DPNs, has sleeves above the elbow and has some sort of lace. If you have any suggestions it would be most appreciated! Thank you!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Needle size? on: November 04, 2006 05:27:12 PM
I received a pair of circular needles for my birthday a couple of months ago. Unfortunately I threw away the package it came in, so I have no idea what size they are (no marking on the needles). Is there any way to find out what size they are?

I would take a picture, but at the camera is MIA at the moment. Any help is much appreciated! Cheesy
4  COOKING / Dessert / Blackberry recipes? on: June 15, 2006 04:13:04 PM
Turns out there are several blackberry bushes growing along our long driveway, and my siblings and I have taken to picking them in the last several days. So far we've got a cereal bowl full, which is growing everyday. Does anyone have any suggestions as what to make with them? I thought about ice cream, but if anyone has some links to tried recipes that would be great.

Thanks!
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Looking for a cape pattern... on: September 21, 2005 06:09:00 AM
Hello, I'm looking for a pattern for my grandmother.
I was on the phone with her yesterday, and we were talking about knitting. She wants me to find her a pattern (she is so amused that I can find patterns on the Internet) for a cape. But for some reason, she wants sleeves? I'm not exactly sure what she was asking, but if anyone knows what she is talking about, I would really appreciate it!

Thank you!
6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Non-usable stick of ram on: March 31, 2005 06:33:37 PM
As the title says, I have a shot stick of ram that I want to make something with. A necklace, barrette, I'm not sure. Any ideas?
7  COOKING / Dessert / Butterscotch chips on: March 29, 2005 10:24:01 AM
My sister wants to make cookies with butterscotch chips today, and I was wondering if anyone has any favorite recipes that call for chips.

Thank you ^o^

9  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Healthy Lunch on: January 11, 2005 08:27:53 AM
This semester I am planning on bringing lunch more often or daily. It's cheaper for my mom, and I need to eat healthier anyways. The problem is, I can't think of what to pack! My ideas are really boring and I end up with PB&J. Does anyone have any easy and healthy suggestions? Thanks ^o^
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gifts for best friends on: December 13, 2004 04:26:43 PM
It's ironic that my 2 best friends are the most impossible to shop for. Maybe it because they're both guys XD

But anyways, one of them doesn't want a present because he says that he loves me too much Smiley So I want to make/buy(?) him something special. He likes Johnny The Homicidal Maniac, gaming, jokes, famous/funny quotes, guitar, and rock music.

My other friend is very picky and so that's another brain block. He likes gaming as well (he and my other friend are friends as well), science fiction anything, computers, techno, some rock music, technology in general, and penguins.

Any help is most appreciated!
