Off-Topic: If anyone finds themselves weirdly fascinated with taxidermy, you might want to check out this bizarre little novel:

The Love Curse of the Rumbaughs by Jack Gantos

On an unseasonably warm Easter Sunday, a young girl named Ivy discovers a chilling secret in the basement of the Rumbaugh pharmacy across the street from the hotel where she lives with her mother. The discovery reveals a disturbing side to the eccentric lives of family friends Abner and Adolph Rumbaugh, known throughout their small western Pennsylvania town simply as the Twins. It seems that Ab and Dolph have been compelled by a powerful mutual love for their deceased mother to do something outrageous, something that in its own twisted way bridges the gap between the living and the dead. Immediately, Ivys discovery provokes the revelation of a Rumbaugh family curse, a curse that, as Ivy will learn over the coming years, holds a strange power over herself and her own mother.

Interesting. The paperback cover shown on Amazon looks NOTHING like the hardback cover of the book that i read.

16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Bookmark swap? on: December 11, 2008 01:13:39 PM
This swap interests me too. I am a newbie crafter who has never participated in a swap, and I think that this swap would be a nice, low-stress first swap for me. Oh, and I'm a librarian, so I can always use more bookmarks.

20  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: What are you making for Christmas this year (2008)? on: December 11, 2008 05:14:00 AM
Maybe cover a notebook in paper or such so he can write in it? Perhaps pillow? I have a bunch of square pillows that I could whip up a cover for...hm. any ideas?

A notebook was the first thing that came to my mind, but a pillow would probably be good too.
