In response to klum78:-
A walking foot is fine even though it could leave track marks on the leather. Your best bet is a teflon foot

This swap has definitely peaked my interest. Before I do sign up, just wanted to find out if there will be interest in the following kind of purse:-

I work primarily with leather-REAL leather not the faux kind that's out there. If anyone is adventurous and would like to work with leather, I will gladly supply it for you to craft a purse and can even guide you as to the correct sewing feet, needle to use if using a regular sewing machine etc. Also, if any of you have some leather pieces that you would like transformed into a purse, I can give it a shot! I go to FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York where I do Accessories Design.

Of course, I do have tons of nice fabrics that I can also send and wouldn't mind receiving fabric to sew a nice purse for you.

Anyway, that's just my two sense. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Your tutorial is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it possible to tell me the dimensions of the card slot, bill slot and main wallet? I tried saving your diagram but it is giving me trouble.

Thanks a lot Smiley

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Anybody used Lucky Labels? on: November 08, 2006 02:22:58 PM
I recommend Lucky Labels hands-down. They are great. They are professional. And their too good to be true price is really true! You cut the middle man by going direct to the source-Thailand. Most people in the US who claim to do woven labels still send them out to countries such as Thailand, India, China hence taking weeks to be completed. Lucky Label turnaround time (about 2 weeks or so) is great considering the distance and their prices are affordable.

I have no regrets using them and intend to use them for all my woven label needs.

Hope this helps. You can also PM me.

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: I Want A Fall Bag!Swap Gallery on: October 23, 2006 01:52:53 PM
I got my bag in the mail yesterday! I was really confused b/c it looked So professional - i thought i wont it from something! I couldn't figure out why anyone was sending me a bag and there was no note. But i looked inside and there was a little wallet in there so i figured it out real soon afterwards. It's really nice!!! i'll post a photo soo - it's lost in my craft room, which i'm cleaning at the moment, so once that is done i'll get the photo taken and up!

Hi I am glad you like the bag I sent you and sorry for leaving out a note. Is just that since I had to repost it to you-I simply remailed it to you as soon as possible. I sent it from my job's mailroom hence the return address wasn't mine. Anyway, I am glad you like it and the picture looks beautiful.

Thanks
