Both my partners received a week ago, but neither has posted a picture. Thought I'd post what I sent them because they were a lot of work and I was proud of the finished products...

this one went to k8kre8s:

I received my Australian package a couple days ago from SilverMoon  Grin

Here's the whole package:

includes: double coat TimTams, Forbidden Fruit gummy candy, Musk Stix, and Dairy Milk chocolate bar. I've seen TimTams here, but only the original kind. I love the gummy candies and the Musk Stix are very different...don't think we have any candy like it here in Canada. I'd hate to tell you that we have Dairy Milk here....I thought it'd maybe taste different, but it's the same. No worries though-- it won't go to waste! Wink

And a close up of the crocheted necklace:

Thanks so much SilverMoon! I love my aussie package  Grin

I was pretty proud of the coffee cozy.. . for an afterthought, it took forever to do  Cheesy

I's very cute indeed!
And....happy birthday!  Cheesy

thank you!

I received a fantastic package from Some_Girl yesterday....sort of an early birlthday gift Wink

everything all together:

drawsting bag, gnome coasters, mini painting, sparrow necklace, and chocolate all came packed in a pretty Paris-themed box.

and some detail photos:
an artichoke drawstring bag with one of my favorite quotes from the movie:

this bag is so well made! It's sort-of 3D because of the way Some_Girl assembled it.

an uber-cool mini painting:

and gnome coasters. These are so cool, I don't want to use them for drinks to make sure they don't get ruined. Would it be weird to frame coasters?

I realized as I was uploading these that I forgot to take a close-up photo of the necklace. I love it- it's been on my wist for a long time and I could never find one around here. Thank you so much Some-Girl! Everything you sent was so well-made and perfect. This was a great swap and I'd gladly do one again if there were another round...

9  Re: Chocolate Swap Gallery Sendouts- 12/6/10 in The Swap Gallery by crystallized_art on: December 18, 2010 09:13:31 AM
I picked up my package from eye_on_sparrow yesterday and was absolutely spoiled!  Grin

First up...the crafted items:

see that silver thing? That's a re-usable grocery bag in the shape of a Hershey's Kiss! I love this thing. You open up the drawstring and it unfolds into a bag. The bag itself is brown...its so clever! She also included pj pants in a milk & cookies material with rick-rack at the bottom. They are so soft. There's a scarf, crocheted dishcloths (rolled-up like a jelly roll), and a kit to make chocolate pretzels. In the tiny baggie is chocolate-shaped lipgloss- did you make this too, eye_on_sparrow?

And of course, here's all the chocolates:

LOTS of dark chocolate (because I love dark chocolate): dark chocolate raspberry squares, dark chocolate with cranberries and almonds, a Madelaine bar, sea salt and caramel, maple caramel, mocha caramel and chocolate covered cherries. There was also a HUGE cupcake-sized peanut butter cup that has [mysteriously] gone missing  Wink All these chocolates are new to me- I've never tried any of these.

oh-that box that says "chocolate smarts" is a chocolate-themed trivia card game. so cool...

thank you so much eye_on_sparrow! I love this package! Between your amazing package and Christmas baking, I'm going on chocolate overload!

10  Re: Key Themed Swap Gallery (Send outs 12/8) in The Swap Gallery by crystallized_art on: December 18, 2010 08:45:43 AM
I received my package from aada this morning  Grin

First is a key-themed birdhouse for when we get nicer weather:

It got a little damaged in transit (one key broke), but it was a clean break, so easy to fix.

The rest of the package:

a garden plaque, a mould so I can my own, and magnets. I can't believe the detail in the key... did you carve the key out yourself??

thanks aada!
