... recent projects I've been stitching. A few images of stock I've been making for craft fairs, and one of a piece I'm stitching for a 'stitch it' project I'm involved in.  Smiley - can't quite believe I'm already getting ready for Christmas fairs!!

I never get tired of making these cross stitch buttons and brooches!

Charm bracelet - Tiny cross stitch heart

Stitch it project - embroidered square for a quilt...

Thanks for looking  Wink

Thanks for your comments  Smiley I keep hunting on ebay for more vintage frames but they're either a bit too tatty or very expensive!!
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / owl swap - finished piece on: March 20, 2009 02:44:38 PM
Here is the embroidery I made for an owl blog swap I was involved in. I designed the pattern myself as all the ones I came across had only one owl and my swap partner is getting married tomorrow, so I really wanted to have a Mr & Mrs.

Found some lovely vintage frames on eBay too ... which I think finished it off really nicely  Smiley

Thanks  Smiley

Thank you again for your comments!  Smiley

The top and last one are both french knots. I've used 6 strands of thread and 3 twists which is why they look a bit more chunky.

They are so cute! What kind of buttons did you use? I think I might try and make some-thanks for the inspiration Cheesy

Thanks for the lovely comments!  Wink

It's a mixture of buttons - for the large ones I used prym blanks (the ones with the teeth on the back) as I wanted to position them and the fabric was quite thick. Then the smaller ones where done on my button machine, so have plastic shanks.

Thanks for all your lovely comments  Kiss

tanechka - I've done a mixture of 2 and 3 twists with a 6 strand thread, so they're quite large.
