... recent projects I've been stitching. A few images of stock I've been making for craft fairs, and one of a piece I'm stitching for a 'stitch it' project I'm involved in.   - can't quite believe I'm already getting ready for Christmas fairs!!

I never get tired of making these cross stitch buttons and brooches!

Here is the embroidery I made for an owl blog swap I was involved in. I designed the pattern myself as all the ones I came across had only one owl and my swap partner is getting married tomorrow, so I really wanted to have a Mr & Mrs.


Found some lovely vintage frames on eBay too ... which I think finished it off really nicely

I made these for a blog swap. I went a bit heart mad, well the swap post date was Valentines so I couldn't resist going for reds and hearts.

It's only taken me a year to get these sheep mounted up and finished! Here's a WIP pic from last Jan ... wip sheep

And here they are all finished...


Some are an bit odd shaped, but i'm pleased with the final piece. Especially as this was my first attempt at french knots.

I'm involved in a button swap which I'm due to post by Valentines, so I've been experimenting! 28mm robot buttons - I've used 1 strand for the inside robot detail and 3 strands to give definition around the profile. For the cross stitch hearts I  used a 28 count fabric to fit a 19mm button.

Larger images and another free pattern on my blog, if anyone fancies making some robot buttons 



Heart button - I cut out a small red felt heart which I then stitched across to make it look raised. I'm going to play around with this idea more for the swap.
