1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / FO: Mint Chocolate Chip MiniPurse on: April 14, 2010 06:54:27 PM
Hey guys, I haven't posted here in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. College, Work, and life has been keeping me super busy! But anyways I only had enough brown yarn left over to make a smallish purse and I dont particularly like using it all up and then buying a new skein of yarn just to finish a project when I dont normally use the brand of yarn that I used for the brown.

Was babysitting for a lil bit and finished up this cute mini-purse. It was going to be a clutch, but I kinda underestimated my crochet skills and came up with this small purse. I think its super cute for young girls. The 7yr old who watched me make this couldnt stop gleeing over how it reminded her of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. Thus the name of this mini-purse. The buttons, I got from an old shirt that I had worn to pieces and were unfortunately the last two buttons I had in white. I loooove those kind of buttons too and hope to find more plain boring solid-colored basic craft buttons like these somewhere online. (But they only sell the giant ones for kids for crafting. They dont have smaller ones that arent TOO SMALL.)

Im thinking of selling this, but Im unsure if anyone would want this. Especially since I havent gotten it lined yet nor have I decided on whether to make a green/white flap with button closures or sew a zipper closure.

Forgive me for my hands, its there for size-reference. >u>;;

What do you guys think? Cheesy It's super tiny, so I figured it'd be cute for a lil girl or something.

so pretty... it'd make really cute hair ornaments if someone could like... use smaller paper and stuff... xD

A friend pointed me to this... And now... I'm inspired to make one! Only... It won't be cranes but stars... ^^; (I just recently did something really really sappy for Valentine's Day to ask out this person I like and it involved LOTS of paper stars.)

This is totally awesome~! I like it and it's very colorful too!! x3
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: We're goin'.... JELLYFISHING!! on: February 17, 2008 01:58:36 PM
I love the jelly fish! Adorable.  Your brother is too, even if he looks less than excited to be modeling!

Actually... He was obsessed with the jellyfish. (He still won't let go of it...) And... well... yea... He's not exactly photogenic. (neither am I) Doesn't care for cameras. But he's willing to have his pictures taken, at least... xD

So I made a jellyfish... And I only had light blue and dark blue... (which is good since the person I'm making this for's favorite color is light blue.)

x3 I hope the pictures come up... @_@ I kinda sort of just... winged it... So I don't know exactly what I did... but I do remember that the tentacles were ch23, and sl st all the way back... And if you used ww yarn... You can like... "crinkle" the tentacles to give it a wavy look... (I attempted with mine, but... I was kinda rushed too) That and my younger brother will not stop messing with the tentacles... (And I am in teh middle of making one for him just so he doesn't mess with my friend's present) Gosh, I hope the pictures aren't too big. @_@ I'm photobucket dumb...

Oh... the person 'wearing' the jellyfish is my little brother. ^^; He ain't little... Cause he's... 6 inches taller than me.
6  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Sushi!! on: February 17, 2008 06:16:18 AM
*points* ROOSTER HOT SAUCE!!! xD I love that stuff!! My family stocks up on that!

And also... There are vegetarian-like sushis... Like... having avacado, cucumbers, carrots, and tofu... Yes... tofu is safe for sushi... ^^; I'm a tofu fiend... So... I think you're fine in using tofu in your sushi... It looks delicious by the way!

And you live in Santa Monica? I have a grandmother that lives there. xD Maybe whenever I vist her again (I live in Georgia) I can drop by and randomly say hey and be all "GIMME SUSHI!!" lolz
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Chain Chomp Hat (pics and pattern!) on: February 08, 2008 09:45:40 AM
xD this is great!! I'm in the middle of a Bob-Omb throw pillow for a friend to "throw" at friends.

I'm not fluent in knitting patterns (I only know garter stitch... and I can't read patterns unless it's crochet)!

I've bookmarked this for a time when I can understand knit patterns. x3 Thank you for sharing!
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: meet piddlesworth and the baby (WITH PATTERN) on: February 05, 2008 11:19:58 AM
the baby Piddlesworth is 4.5"x7" and Piddlesworth is 9"x11"
it's about there

Thanks~! xD Yea, I was wanting to make one about 7"x9"... I'm sure I could easily modify the pattern to get that size. xD (yes, I'm very very picky... I know)

I'm sorry if this sounds like a silly question to ask, but how big does the baby panda come out? I want to make one for a friend but a lil bigger but a lil smaller than your Piddlesworth... (I'm just eyeballing the size references) I don't want to end up frogging a hundred times and getting frustrated with not getting the size right. @_@
