Is it magazine paper mache? I freaking LOVE it.
22  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Vagoo Towel W/ Penis cross-stitch... NOT SAFE FOR WORK! on: October 31, 2008 07:09:38 PM
Heh... I'm so glad I'm not the only person who needs a vagoo towel.

Although "Twatty Towel" made me giggle endlessly.

The days of the week vagoo towel is an AWESOME idea. I must go buy more towels.

and sxyskeksis, I know you too! Tongue
23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Vagoo Towel W/ Penis cross-stitch... ADULT CONTENT! NOT SAFE FOR WORK! on: October 29, 2008 11:17:17 PM

WARNING! This is a post with ADULT CONTENT! Carry on. -your faithful moderator....

So... I cross-stitched something for the first time in ages.

I may have to add another penis or a vagina on the other side, and I'm not happy with the pubic hair... I should have picked a brownish color. I haven't finished it off yet, in case I decide I want to change that.

The font was done with a free font online, although I did that months ago and can't find it now, the penis is all me, in fact, I sorta stitched the outline without having any idea at all what I was doing.

Without further ado, the Vagoo Towel (followed by reason for need of Vagoo towel, which is probably tmi.

At my boyfriend's house (who lives with two other guys and a pretty useless girl, so it's VERY bachelor-esque) there are five towels. To get to the bathroom from his bedroom, I must walk in the hallway visible by the livingroom.

Suffice to say, I don't like walking there naked. And I don't like putting my clothes on after sex without a bit of wiping up. So I decided to buy my very own towel for my very own vagoo... which then became a project to make sure no one else uses my vagoo towel.

I just hope he doesn't throw it in the laundry to take to his father's house like he does with everything else. >.<
24  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Anniversary-type-thing ideas on: September 01, 2008 04:19:24 PM
So, it is closing in on the day that my boyfriend and I first "met" online. We met through OKCupid, neither of us was really looking for a relationship, but we messaged eachother pretty much all day for a week, then arranged to meet in person, and almost immediately started dating.

While I think it's silly, I'm still sorta wanting to commemorate the occasion by doing something for him.

I went on the site and copy-pasted all of our messages back and forth so I would be sure to save them recently, and I thought about doing something with them, maybe take some memorable things that were said (like our conversation about the zombie novel I was working on at the time that never took off, or the minor flirting that went on, and put them on scraps of paper and...

I have no idea. There's a LOT of these messages (70+ from each of us, so about 130 or so) and I want to do something entertaining with it.

I have a bit of time, just looking for ideas.

He's REALLY into roleplay gaming and puzzles, and has recently mentioned he wants a wallet size photo of me for his wallet, so I'm thinking about adding some photos for him to have. Unfortunately I only have one of us.

What did you use as a base to put the paper mache around? That is awesomely amazing, btw.

That's actually a really good idea, thank you!
27  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / What to do with painted CDs? (img heavy sorta) on: July 01, 2008 08:55:41 PM
I am doing a whole bunch of paintings on CDs. I like the shineyness behind it, it gives me practice painting (which I haven't done since I was a freshman in hs) and it gives me an excuse to get rid of all these old CDs.

I don't have a wall really where I can mount them, so I can't figure out what to do with them all... any ideas?

Links to the images (crappy photos, I'm sorry, and my technique has gotten SO bad... but it sort of shows the pretty shine behind the paintings. In some places the shine doesn't go through cuz the paint's thicker, and the first painting is... what happens when I've had a bahama mama and am up painting at three am. >.< I added more photos to it to show the shine & the textureyness. I'm experimenting with glaze, the last one isn't glazed yet cuz I'm afraid to screw it up, as it's a quarterway decent.

I went to my favorites, and through the 79, I think this one would be best suited for muralishness...

Lolcats (and loldogs and most of all, lolruses) make me giggle.
29  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Calling all Fibromyalgia/Cfs and all people with Chronic illness /disabled on: June 09, 2008 07:09:23 PM
That's actually a wonderful idea!

I have fibromyalgia and am on disability because of my bipolar and social anxiety. My therapist actually suggested that I carry my sketch pad everywhere I go as sort of a security blanket.

That is awesome! It made me tear up. I got lots of gifts when I was little and going through chemo, from all over, so I know how those things really do lift up your spirits.
