11  Outkast Tiny T-shirt Skirts in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by genreroo on: April 12, 2008 10:34:29 AM
I bought some cheapo t-shirts and made them into skirts! I'm still learning how to sew and this was a good project-I learned how to make buttonholes to wind the drawstring/elastic through. Very fun. These are great for lounging around the house, especially now that the weather is turning super hot again. Can you guess what I was listening to on the radio when I finished? Enjoy!

Sorry for the distortion-tried photobucket's new image editing-not that great. Ah well.

12  Robbie Roll-and-go Blanket (2 pics) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by genreroo on: April 04, 2008 08:03:25 AM
I sewed a blanket! I am still learning to sew and I found a project where I bought some fleece, cut it, pinned it (pin, pin, pin, pin, pin eternally) and sewed the edges. It's really basic but it helped me practice my straight edge a lot. And I like it. It's bright green and matches the Monrose Slumber Sack I made before. It's named Robbie because I was listening to Robbie Williams while making it. Enjoy! I know I will!

13  monrose slumber sack (3 pics) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by genreroo on: February 08, 2008 04:13:54 PM
Hi! This is my second sewing project. I finished it while listening to DNR radio, hence the name. It's a fleece sack with drawstrings and can hold things like magazines and movies and such. I appliqued a little bird that came from the drawstring fabric. It was my first time with applique so its nowhere near perfect but it's good enough for me for a first time project, especially with the little details like the tail feathers and the feet. I may fix it later when I feel more proficient. Sorry for the small photos-photbucket was acting up. Enjoy!

14  first sewing project-patchwork pillow! (3 pics) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by genreroo on: February 03, 2008 10:44:33 AM
Hello. After years of making the new year's resolution 'learn to sew' I finally went out and bought a sewing machine in December. And after three miserable looking pincushions I made a pillow that I am happy with! The scraps are really random-from the leftover bins at craft stores, so there's christmas and valentine's day in there, but it's functional and I like it. Let me know what you think!

15  christmas cookies! in Dessert by genreroo on: December 17, 2007 08:57:26 AM
Hey! I made sugar cookies from the refrigerated slice and bake pack but I made Isa Chandra Moskowitz's (Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World) vegan buttercream cupcake frosting on top w/food dye. Turned out great! Think about it-cookies and cupcakes all in one-num. I was going to take a picture but they got eaten up so quick that I only have 6 left-which is great. So here's what's left.  Smiley

and now there's five. yum!

16  first mittens! in Knitting: Completed Projects by genreroo on: December 06, 2007 11:38:19 AM
These are the first mittens I've ever knit and I like how they turned out. I call them Violet Mittens because I was listening to The Reptile Room (Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events #2) while knitting them. And not only do they look pretty good but they are functional too-they kept my hands warm when I went out to get the mail today (new yarn!). Enjoy!
