Inlerah: Thank you, it is truly perfect! I love how the yarn has shine from the BFL/silk and halo from the Shetland.

Such great yarns, everyone!

Catielove: I'm not a big fan of spinning glitter myself, but I love your sparkly yarns!

Antsy: Mmm, your singles look like Merino at it's best...

Calluna: OH WOW!!!

Myself, I've been a busy bee this week.

First we have "Cheesy Hay". It's a combo spin with one ply Shetland, one ply Falkland and one ply organic Merino. 685 yards/ 10.9 oz of 3-ply fingering weight.

Then there's "Rothko", fiber is BFL and I got 228 yards/3.9 oz of 3-ply sport weight.

And last - but definitely not least - "Green Tea", fiber is Polwarth and I got 240 yards/3.5 oz of 3-ply sport weight.

Beautiful, rustic yarn! I wish I could prep fleece myself, but my SO is sadly allergic and can only tolerate me spinning pre-washed and preferrably dyed wool.

The yarn is one of my combos spun for the Combo SAL over in the Spunky group on Ravelry. Secret Jam - one ply each of SE Eclectic Jam BFL/silk, SCF Buried Secrets Shetland and SCF Carried Away Polwarth.

The pattern is http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/variance (Ravelry link) and I knit the fingering weight version. It's PERFECT!!!

Zombie_Queen: Thank you! Yes, I'm plying them all together in a big ol' combo. My favourite way of spinning, triple the excitement!

Oh wow, that's one happy yarn you spun. Cheesy

I LOVE the mint merino singles! Don't like spinning merino myself, but I sure love seeing what other people do with it.

Jexxican: Glad you found your bobbin part and LOVE that drop spindled yarn!

Inlerah: Beautiful yarn, I've never tried spinning from a batt. That's one of my goals for Tour de Fleece.

Charaxesdistanti: Happy colours, love it!

Sprocketfox: Woot for your first coloured yarn, it looks really nice!

This is what I made this past week:

Wensleydale singles, light fingering. Colourway is called Bruised Ego. First Wensleydale, first singles yarn, LOVE.

This is Kentucky Derby, a fingering/sport Norwegian long wool 2-ply. Oh, beloved long wools.

Spunky Eclectic Fiber Club - Mar '10 - Kentucky Derby - Norwegian Long Wool by nittydread, on Flickr

Huckleberry Train, worsted Falkland 2-ply. The thickest yarn I've ever spun since I learned how to spin thin!
