1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Mr. Squishy Delishy. on: April 17, 2011 01:30:10 AM
My youngest (Percy) has been nicknamed Squishy Delishy, because... well he is! See:

So I made him a top! Boys clothes can be so dull here in the UK, so I brought a girly green top and painted it. I was rather influenced by the Glee Slushy. He loves it...

I also made my daughters some fun shoes, quite simple because they will inevitably trash them with all their puddle jumping.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Autumn on a top! on: November 10, 2009 01:10:52 PM
Autumn is my favourite time of year as it inspires me endlessly, I recently made this t-shirt for a collaboration with some other sahm's! It's a kiddies top and the colours used were done so to match a nappy and some wool! I'm really pleased with how it came out and would love to hear your comments/criticisms!

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A Christening present for Evelyn Rose. on: August 30, 2009 02:04:11 AM
My niece is being Christened today and not one to follow tradition I decided the best gift I could give her would be something I made just for her. I wanted to celebrate her name, unfortunately Evelyn doesn't have a meaning I could translate to canvas, and I didn't want to paint her name because they mostly call her Evie! Her middle name however is a family name and is perfect, Rose! Originally I was going to paint a rose but I realised after some sketching it wouldn't be very child friendly, so I doodled some more and came up with this... She is only 5 months but has blonde hair and blue eyes so I went with that for the fairies features.

I used acrylic paints and lots of glitter! I also used some squeezy paints to give texture and depth. The one slightly artsy shot isn't the best for showing the painting but it does show how glittery the whole thing is (the wings have lots of little glittery flowers on them!)

Would love to hear your thoughts  Grin

4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Everything's cute in small sizes! on: October 08, 2008 11:41:51 PM
I lurk and comment a lot, but this is my first time ever posting something I've made !!
I paint children's tops, I love making things brighter and funkier and not relying on the same old popular characters. I've also started working with felt .. Here are a few of my creations.

5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Another Newbie! on: December 08, 2007 07:03:53 AM
I have been lurking for a few weeks now and I am already in complete awe, this site has inspired me infinitely.

Oh yes, hang on..
I'm Chloe, I'm 23, I live in Norwich in the UK with my man-shape and my two daughters (Beebe will be 2 at the end of January and Mirabelle is 15 weeks).

I've always been creative, at the moment I'm learning to knit.
I fabric paint a lot of baby clothes.
I am getting into making felt monsters and plushies.
I'm hoping to learn how to use a sewing machine in the New Year.
I am a bit of a jack of all trades. Anything creative appeals to me. I also enjoy writing creatively..

So yes, that's it really.
I'm hoping to post pictures of all my creations someday soon. I've decided to try and make the vast majority of my Christmas presents, so there will be a lot to see.
