11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Pale Blue 1950's Style Hair Band on: July 20, 2009 12:19:57 PM

One of many hair bands I've made.
Easy and fun to make.

I used a pale blue ribbon with white polka dots (found it at my local haberdashery store),
I also used elastic band and a button in the back.
I used the idea from the Craftster book.
Thank you Leah!

12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Vintage Inspired Hair Combs (two different pairs and colors!) on: July 20, 2009 12:15:17 PM

I'm always gluing hair flowers and these combs is just two of many I've made over the years.

These cost me around 50 pence/pair to make.

I use Bostik All Purpose glue and small clamps for all my hair flower projects.

Thank you for looking!

13  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / From Drab To Fab - Revamped Spool Rooster on: July 17, 2009 08:51:59 AM
I finished this very easy revamping project today.

I remember this wooden rooster from when I was a kid and it put
a smile on my face when I found it at a flea market in Sweden for
only 5 Kr. (0,40/$0,60/0,45)

As you can see it was in a bit of a state but I knew that a little
black spray paint and a piece of ribbon would to the trick.
Yes, that's all!
Revamping projects doesn't have to be expensive or even complicated.

14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Girls Dress Revamped Into a Summery 1950's Style Skirt on: April 30, 2009 12:57:31 PM
I just finished revamping this dress into a skirt.
I found this summery girls dress (it's for a 6 year old) at a car boot sale last
Sunday for only 20 pence (that's like 30 cent in American currency) and I knew
right away that I could revamp it into a skirt since I'm quite petite.
It took me about 1 hour and I'm relatively pleased with the result.
This skirt will look perfect with a red gingham top.

Sorry about the awfully dull pictures, there's more cute details, like frills, than
my crappy camera will tell...
