41  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Pink Exotic Pinup Style Hair Flower on: March 14, 2009 04:36:05 AM
gosh, thats lovely!
but then all of your stuff is.
it all looks neally professional too, totally flawless.

I love your style, and wear hair flowers myself, but have increasingly more trouble finding nice ones. I have wanted to make my own in the past, but i cant seem to find any nice plastic flowers that don't cost a fortune.

can i ask where you get yours from?

xx

Thanks honey! Smiley

That's why I started making my own, I can't tell you how much money I've spent on crappy hair flowers on eBay over the years.

I find my flowers in random "crap shops", you know where everything is 99 cents or whatever.
Garden centers and places like IKEA is also places to look for flowers.

Good luck!

Pretty earrings made out of bee charms in antique silver.
This pair cost me around 50 pence to make.
All bits was finds on eBay.

43  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Exotic 1950's Style Hair Combs on: March 14, 2009 04:20:25 AM

I'm always gluing hair flowers and these combs is just one of many I've made over the years.

This pair cost me around 50 pence to make.

I use Bostik All Purpose glue for all my hair flower projects.

Perfect for weddings, rockabilly events and maybe a Luau.

45  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Two Hawaiian Style Bags With Bamboo Handles & Hibiscus Flowers on: March 14, 2009 04:11:25 AM
I have made a bunch of these over the years but these two are the most recent ones.
The material is leopard printed Jute.
The bamboo handles was a find on eBay, bought 10 pairs for a very neat sum.
The fake Hibiscus flowers was a gift from a friend, she found them in a party
store in America.
Each bag cost around 2.50 to make and took me about 20 minutes.

Yes, there's a clip on the underside of the butterfly.

where did you get the plastic cherries from? I am desperate for some-I love cherries an irrational amount! The barrette looks gorgeous, very stylish yet cute at the same time

Thank you very much. Smiley

I found the cherries on eBay years ago, there was this eBay store from Hong Kong
or something that sold them to me, I believe it was a pack of 8.
I searched for "Plastic cherries".
