2  Super Mario Nintendo Messenger bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Shwa on: August 24, 2009 05:13:07 PM
Here's a messenger bag I made not too long ago. I got the fabric on the flap printed from the wonderful Spoonflower, and the rest from Fabricland.

I made the bag about average size. Not too big, and not too small... It's about 13-14 inches across.
I've been working on various messenger bag designs for the past year or 2, trying to figure out something that's easy enough to make, practical, good looking and sturdy. I think I've finally figured out a way I like!

It has a zippered pocket on the front of the bag body, a zippered one in the flap, and a divider on the inside.(I couldn't get a very flattering pic of it. Oh well XD)

I'm a very geeky person at heart with a love for anything vintage or retro. That'll become more and more apparent as I post my creations.

Hope you guys like!

3  Spring hobo Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Shwa on: August 23, 2009 11:39:14 PM
I remember seeing this fabric and, doing what any sewing fanatic does, I grabbed it and bought a bunch without even a though about what I'd make with it.
I did, however, manage to actually use it lol.. This wonderful bag was born, I made 2, this one, and another almost exactly the same for my mother who was crazy for it!

P.S. this is made from another pattern by the wonderful U Handbag site Smiley

It's pretty big without being too big! It's also lined with light sewing fleece, so it holds it's shape well, and still has that durable squish to it. I love this pattern so much X3

4  Alice in Wonderland Buttercup Purse with pics! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Shwa on: August 23, 2009 11:10:56 PM
Here's a little purse I made from MadeByRae's Buttercup Purse pattern! (thanks, Betty Bat! Wink )
I think it turned out pretty cute, especially with that lovely Alice fabric I managed to get my paws on!

It took no time at all, and less than half a meter of fabric!
