1  Pecan Linzer Heart Cookies (w/ Berry Filling) in Dessert by sweetlysurreal6 on: August 28, 2011 04:54:20 PM
I have made make these cookies for Valentine's Day for a few years now, but my family requests them in between about once a month!  They take a little bit of time to make (mostly because the dough is difficult to work with, and you have to watch them carefully because they burn if you leave them in for even a minute too long), but it is totally worth it because they are so tasty.  I am thinking about doing different shapes for different holidays.

I got the recipe from Martha Stewart (here: http://www.marthastewart.com/354785/pecan-linzer-cookies-cherry-filling), and I usually use whatever jam or jelly I have on hand.  I used apricot a few months ago, which was very tasty.  I think these photos are from the first time I made them, so they have gotten a bit more good-looking since then!

PS- I've been checking out craftster for a long time, but this is the first time I'm posting something with photos, so let me know if I'm doing it incorrectly!
