I have to create a blog for one of my classes, just posting about news stories and happenings of a topic that interests us. Naturally, I chose crafting/art/writing type stuff. If anyone happens across something interesting relating to the topic, would you be able to PM me the link, or post a reply in here? Thanks so much
So I want to make something for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day, but I'm not sure what to make. It's our second Valentine's together, and I want to make something nice that's not girly. Any suggestions?
So I plan to participate in my first craft fair at my town's craft fair in October. I figure if I start making things on and off now, I should have a good stock by then. My questions are:
-how much stuff should I have in general? -what types of things do you think people would buy in Oct? would it be too early for scarves/hats? -would it be okay to have scarves/hats AND jewelry type stuff?
I'm making an afghan from a graph that I made, and I'm working from the right side on each row, cutting the yarn when I get to the end of the row and re-joining it at the start of the row. However, the pattern's slanting to the right a lot. is there anything I can do to fix this, or will it look okay once the whole thing's done?
I'm making some earrings right now, and the pattern says to soak them in starching solution and let them dry. Trouble is, I've never starched anything, and I don't know what to use, like if there's anything out there better then others, or if I might be able to get some general stiffening advice? The earrings are crochet thread with seed beads.
I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on lining things like wallets and purses? I tried lining a small changepurse I made, but it didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. Should I line before or after I seam it? are there any specific techniques or materials I should use?
