1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Princess Daisy costume help! (Buckram?) I'm A N00b. on: October 19, 2008 07:52:47 AM
heyy guys!

this Halloween I'm being Princess Daisy (you know, from Mario Party?)
but its gonna be a short, realllly poofy skirt.

i asked the lady at the fabric store what to do, since its my first time using a pattern (Simplicity 0516/2832)
and since im mkaing the entire base dress (view e) in yellow crushed panne velour and adding the orange accents separately, im not using any overlays or anything like that.

becfause the fabric is semi-heavy, she told me to use buckram to make a realllly poofy skirt.

thing is, no i have this big rectangle of this stuff, and i have no idea what im doing.

please help me!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Sweet Sixteen-Wear Anything But Clothes on: July 17, 2008 09:14:59 AM
Hey craftsters!

so for my sweet 16 i want the theme to be wear anything but clothes, you know, get your craft on, use stuff like tinfoil, garbage bags, etc. to make an outfit for the party.

well, heres my dilemma.
i was going to duplicate the skittles wrapper prom dress with peanut m&ms because i love the color yellow, but then i had a great idea.

what about a newspaper hoop skirt with glowsticks embedded in there as the hoops, and i could crack them all right before the party?

any other ideas? or how to make the hoop skirt one work?

Cheesy

thanks in advance!
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Macro Challenge: Sewing in My Sleep on: April 28, 2008 03:30:04 PM
I call this one Sewing in My Sleep because it looks all dusty, like it has been unused, or asleep, for a really, really, long time.

No photoshopping, just black and white macro with my junky camera. :p

Comments and feedback greatly appreciated. :]

*First Challenge* Cheesy

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Figure 8 Beaded Chain on: December 02, 2007 12:19:00 PM
I'm trying to make one of these beaded chain things.

Everyone on Craftster's that I've seen are nice and circular.

Mine, however, come out flat and oval.

What to do?

Please help me!  Smiley
