love it!
i just made one of these for a friends birthday at the begininng of the month out of pages from a physics class we had together, but i dropped. i used paper that i cut to be 6 inches square, so it was sort of big, and i used a glustick to put it all together.

awesome work!

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: what to do with tshirts? on: November 13, 2008 04:04:17 PM
heyy there!

I usually just chop em off at the armpit and wear em as skirts, which especially works if theyre too small, since then theres no need for a real waistabnd or drawstring or anything, assuming that your shirt covers the raw edge at the top.

hope this helped!

8  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Re: Princess Daisy costume help! (Buckram?) I'm A N00b. on: October 19, 2008 02:55:49 PM
it does, but because "the material is so heavy, you have to use buckram for the floof factor" --fabric store crazy lady
9  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Princess Daisy costume help! (Buckram?) I'm A N00b. on: October 19, 2008 07:52:47 AM
heyy guys!

this Halloween I'm being Princess Daisy (you know, from Mario Party?)
but its gonna be a short, realllly poofy skirt.

i asked the lady at the fabric store what to do, since its my first time using a pattern (Simplicity 0516/2832)
and since im mkaing the entire base dress (view e) in yellow crushed panne velour and adding the orange accents separately, im not using any overlays or anything like that.

becfause the fabric is semi-heavy, she told me to use buckram to make a realllly poofy skirt.

thing is, no i have this big rectangle of this stuff, and i have no idea what im doing.

please help me!
