Well, I cut out the ribbed fabric on the neck of the shirt, then seam ripped it into a strip. (I left the raw edges on because I wanted them to show) I measured the length on the strip then divided it by six and cut out six trianglish shapes (see the link) to the figured scale. I sewed long edges to long edges and short edges to short edges ( I think back and I could have just made 3 big peices, but I wasn't thinking straight.

) then, I left 1 side unsewed (so It stayed flat) and sewed it to the ribbed peice of fabric. then sewed that edge together then the triangly edges all got sewed together. I decided it was to pointy and I sewed a straight line across the top then flipped it and sewed another straight line in an X shape and trimmed off the extra fabric... and there ya go!
