So I made this for my partner in the Hedwig and the Angry Inch swap. I did post it in the swap gallery, but I couldn't resist showing it off in here too.
Here she is:
This is my first completed portrait & I'm really pleased with how it came out.
Ok, so I didn't *really* swallow I hoodie! But I did embroider a couple of swallows on a hooded sweatshirt my friend Lars bought for her trip to San Francisco.
Here's a few pictures for yas.
And I promise, the next embroidered project I post, won't be swallows.
I love tattoos and I love embroidery, and I've been itching to stitch some swallows, tattoo style. So thanks to embroidery goddess, Ms. Hart, I've created a sassy new tote bag for my favorite "poison": CRAFTS!
Ok, so I just watched the most recent episode of Six Feet Under & it occured to me that there hasn't been a swap for this series yet! So who's with me in paying tribute to one of the best series ever?
I would be willing to organize the swap if no one else wants to. I haven't organized before, but I meet the requirements and am willing to take it the responsibility.
Let me know what you all think so I can start a thread for sign ups.
Just thought I would post a pic of a onesie I finished a few days ago, just found my camera cable after a long and crazy move. I have some others in the making from some other designs.
So I decided to make a purse for my friend/co-worker Caroline's birthday tomorrow. I just sketched a pattern and came up with the ebroidery design on my own. I decided to use this fabulous funky vintage fabric I found on ebay combined with some vintage blue velvet I scored at a garage sale. I'm pleased with it & I think she will be too!
so I thought I would post a picture of the apron I made for my new job. I actually made it a few weeks ago, but am just now getting around to posting a picture.
So here is a tote bag I made for my friend Barb and all of her crafty goodies. She picked out the fabric & I thought it needed some glam, so I applied the sequins by hand & covered it in vinyl for extra protection. I think she'll be pleased.
Okay, so the fun fur I used made me think of Fraggle hair, hence the title of this topic. I made this for my 6 year old stepdaughter, it's either going to be a birthday gift (Dec) or a X-mas gift. She said her favorite color is pink & she wanted something "rainbow colored, but not black or brown!"
She's a very petite girl, so I'm hoping it is long enough...what do you guys think?
Okay, so I'm not usually attracted to animal-esque prints, but I did like this one. Particularly because it came from this *awesome* garage sale I went to last weekend at a Senior Citizen center in town. All of the material used (with the exception of the iron-on) to assemble my tote came from the Senior sale & it was WICKED cheap. I think in all, I paid a total of about $2.00. SCORE!
Oh by the way, I used the measurements in the Stitch-n-Bitch book. My tote bag is friggin' huge! I LOVE IT! If you haven't purchased this book and taught yourself how to knit already, I highly recommend it.
