12  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Mother's Day Gift on: May 02, 2008 07:31:22 PM
It's been a very long time since I shared a project here on Craftster, but I thought this one was too nice not to share.

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I'm pleased to say I'm almost finished with my gift.  All the major work is completed, and here it is:

I'm planning on stretching this on to a canvas, making it a wall hanging.  I added her last name underneath the horse.

This beautiful pattern came from the new Craft Pad book.

Just a reminder that Jenny did address this issue, as well as others that have been floating around on this forum in the new x - x Constructive Feedback Lounge x - x.

Hopefully everyone will take the time to read it.  Wink

Hi dianamarie!

Craft Pad does indeed have a very nice selection of her online patterns, as well as over 25 new designs.  Like grimmscreed stated, it's no more than 2 designs from each of the online patterns.  Some of the online patterns included in Craft Pad are: chihuahuas, the fairy, roller skates, lucha libre, and many more.  That's just what currently comes to mind.  Wink

It's good that you also have the Sublime Stitching book, as that will be a good guide to stitch techniques.  A friend of mine posted a great review of Craft Pad if you need more convincing.   Smiley

Buffy is my BF's favorite show.  This is a brilliant idea!  Great work.  Smiley

This is AMAZING!  I'd love to make one for my daughter too, to go with a unicorn birthday banner I made for her.  Was this an online coloring book?

18  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Re: Sweet Dreams Pillowcase, Now with BIGGER Pictures! on: May 01, 2008 04:24:05 PM
Thanks!  I have a funny story about these pillowcases.

I was in an art show last year, and these were there, and my helper for the night spilled her red wine on them!  She's been my BF for the past 10 years, it was a total accident, and I thought she was about to start crying.  So I didn't make a big deal out of it.  I just folded them up and quickly stashed them under my table.  2 days later, I got them out and put a stain remover on them, and miraculously there's hardly any stain at all!   Smiley
