2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Apron top (action pics added) on: August 07, 2008 11:07:12 AM
Hello all!

I made an apron top for a personal swap I have going on with TheSapphireMoon. They're quite easy to make after you make a few. The top part is lined with lycra.

and the action pics (sorry for messiness!)

If you have any questions, I am happy to help Smiley
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Pokemon purse (bright neon goodness) on: May 03, 2008 02:46:39 AM
My 13 yr. old daughter found both of these fabrics at wal-mart for 2 bucks a meter in the bargain bin (I love that bin!) So I made this bag for her. I just love how the colors go together. Smiley

all the geeky goodness inside Cheesy, with pockets

had to make a matching d.s. pouch!

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / really easy seaweed scarf! Found the pattern link! on: May 01, 2008 04:41:42 PM
It's really a nice scarf that I can wear all summer (and will) and I'm making some for my friends now, in all different kinds of yarn (it works better with thick yarn). It's perfect for a traveling project, easy to figure out where you left off Cheesy. I love the way it ruffles and twists upon itself.

...now for the seaweedy goodness Grin (sorry for poor pic quality)

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Plain turquoise and agate necklace. on: May 01, 2008 04:28:35 PM
hi Smiley

I was looking for just plain necklaces, ones without wire on them, as I get itchy with wire on my skin. This is turquoise, and a nice yellow agate pendant, which has yellow, brown, and robin's egg blue, really hot colors right now Cheesy. I just strung a turquoise necklace, then added the pendant by sticking a head pin through it and making a loop. Thanks for looking!

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Seed bead native earrings on: May 01, 2008 04:07:42 PM
Hello, I'm sorry for the poor quality pics, it's the only camera that I have Embarrassed

The art of using porcupine quills is dying out, I'm going to try and learn some more about it and use them in other projects. I got these quills from roadkill. I think I'll have enough for many more projects, the spirit of the animal is respected by me using as much of his body as I can.

7  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Craft my heritage on: April 06, 2008 04:47:00 AM
I think it would be cool to craft your heritage(s). Just an idea Smiley
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Giant owl shopping tote! on: March 20, 2008 01:11:48 AM
This was a pillow panel and some co-ordinating cotton from makower (great quality!) it's lined with interfacing and brown flannel, but has no pockets. My 3 yr old daughter  likes to ride in it Grin

Sorry for poor quality pics, I have a crappy old camera!

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / It's a nice day......for a GOTH wedding.....:D....I took more pics in the light on: March 19, 2008 09:36:00 PM
My topic was "wedding" and I wanted to make something that I thought represented all the detail and opulence of early couture, with the feeling of today's open minded approach to wedding attire....

This is Clover in her wedding dress, complete with traveling jacket and overskirt, and, when she wants, she can also take the jacket and overskirt off to dance the night away!

and underneath....

This is what I started with (it was floor length)...a plush red velvet dress.

....and this, some lace that I cut off an old slip.

I then cut out a vest shape and gathered a folded in half strip for the edges.
like this...

I then fooled around with the pieces a bit, figuring out what needed more gathered edges, where to attatch ties for the jacket...ect..

This is the beautiful rabbit girl, all ready to be dressed.. (with yarn eyeshadow in the 2nd pic...lol)

the back view (sorry, I have a crappy old camera)

The front.....

the side, detail on jacket (i really wish for a better cam!)

Here she is with the jacket off again, I made a necklace out of a single earring I had, and some black swarovski (sp..lol) crystals.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A caloriemetry and a knit bonnet on: March 18, 2008 11:26:58 AM
These are 2 really quick projects to do, the caloriemetry was from knitty.com, and the bonnet was from a picture of a red bonnet (on here, but I can't find it yet, if I do I'll add it in) that I copied.

The calorie-thing, I just made from 100% wool, but the ribs didn't show up too good, I like the color though, and the bonnet, just red heart acrylic.
