8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: Apron top on: August 07, 2008 10:47:15 PM
Grin I love this!!! How did you make it? I've been itching to make one for awhile, but I don't know where to begin...

for the top, I just traced a top that I like that has close to no stretch to it, I think it was just a simple "baby doll" style "grunge" dress. the bottom is just 3 "a" line pieces. It's so nice to not have to worry about getting the measurements exactly, because it's open and adjustible in the back Cheesy. Maybe if there's enough interest, I can make a tutorial, if there's not one already.

Thanks for the comment Smiley

How exactly do you attach the lycra lining to the top? I can't figure it out on my own.

Very cute, love apron tops!

Thanks for the kind comments! Smiley. I attatched the lycra by cutting it just a wee bit smaller than the denim, and then pinning right sides together (edge to edge) and sew all the way around, except the bottom (you can sew that later when you attatch the bottom part) you get finished edges (minus topstitching) and liner in one! It holds in your boobies too!
10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Apron top (action pics added) on: August 07, 2008 11:07:12 AM
Hello all!

I made an apron top for a personal swap I have going on with TheSapphireMoon. They're quite easy to make after you make a few. The top part is lined with lycra.

and the action pics (sorry for messiness!)

If you have any questions, I am happy to help Smiley
