151  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / more fun with shrinky dink!!! on: November 16, 2007 07:02:20 PM
The best part about shrinky dink ? it can be kitschy or classy ! I love doing hand stamping on frosted ruff-n-ready for an etched glass effect ...and then straight up inkjet dink is great for soooooooo much! I've kind have been on a dinky kick lately! here are some of the pretties !

( hand-stamped with sterling and swarovski accents)

( inkjet in white , sealed , and then accented with faceted peridot)

( hand-stamped ruff n ready, accented with faceted pink quartz)

(hand-stamped ruff n ready , accented in onyx, rock crystal , and handmade lampwork spacers)

Thanks for Looking:-)

Later Gators! ,

~Ej

152  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Millefiore Flower Explosion! (Fused Glass) on: November 16, 2007 06:05:36 PM
This is FAB-U-LOUS !!!

someday i will learn to make my own glass crafts ...unitl then , I will just stare adoringly, wisftully , perhaps even  evry so twinge-ily jealously ( is twinge-ily isn;t a word . I made that one up just for you!) at  YOUR work .  Love it so much so would bake it a cake .  Grin
153  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Newbie saying hello...and sharing my new obsession ofr felted beads :-) on: November 16, 2007 04:43:24 PM
i once made some felt balls, but they didn't stay together and were fairly squishy, yours look firmer and really sturdy, how did you do that?!  ALso can i ask what they are all beaded on to?
thanks!

~TeKalinosky54~

Just keeep on rollig them ....it takes forever , but worth it . as for what they are strung on ?? headpins!!!!!  seriously!

Tip : I  "ream" the felted bead with un un bent paper clip...work all the way through the fibers , then once out the other side, I push my paper clip "reamer" back through with my headpin. This makes for a straight mounting , and keeps the headpins from bending all wonky. It's perfect everytime! (  a vintage hat pin also works as a reamer , but can be tricky as the diameter isn't  as wide , and I prefer the extra 'tunnel' room :-)   )
