11  Re: Winter Hippy Swap Gallery in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by AttieNichole on: March 06, 2012 07:55:11 PM
My swap goodies!

group shot!
This is the best picture I have of the apron.  I received a rapunzel scarf, mirror, apron, tin, extra buttons/pins/stamper, and stickers.  It was packaged so wonderfully that I am going to save the packaging materials and reuse them in my current swap Smiley

up close and personal with the photo frame mirror that keeps eyeing me Smiley

buttons and a stamper and a beautiful Tie-dye like tin covered in swirly clay Smiley  Her son assisted in creating this, which I thought was really neat.  It's always great to share the crafts we do with those we love.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, I have your beautiful scarf!  I love it Smiley

Thank you so much Witchhippie!  Sorry for the delay in posting pictures, but your work is beautiful and these items are happy at home in my apartment Smiley

Here are my goodies from AmazingAlex.
Huge package! lol

She did a really great job finding things useful for me.  I felt like I was spoiling my apartment with all the household decor items Smiley  And I stare at the pillows every day, stating to my boyfriend, "I love these pillows"  Smiley
Anyhow, here is a group shot of most of the items(minus earrings and barefoot sandals).

Melted record swirl tree and bowl, six handmade jasmine candles, bamboo coasters, peace sign lollipop, hippie stickers.

the wonderful pillows.  The purple one has pink on the other side.  The blue one has green on the otherside.  I'm going to make more in the future and have a couch full of these pillows!:

the record swirl tree:

I will post a picture of the earrings later, but do not have a photo for the sandals...this swap took my dumpster diving virginity when I found out that my boyfriend had accidentally pitched (!!) the box with some items left in it.  I recovered the earrings and the cute box they came in, but could not find the sandals.  It was three in the morning and I thought the cockroaches were going to eat me. Sad  I feel really bad about this as I had never had that happen before  Sad  but everything is so wonderful, I am very happ with this swap.  I'm sorry AmazingAlex for the dumpster mishap Sad

Received from ollieorange last week and just had the time to post pictures.  Whew what a week!  First let me start out by saying that I loved everything I received.  She really nailed down my interests and sent things I would really use often!
Package One

Here is everything together.

I received:  a madison post card (cannot find, will post later), three kinds of tea and a wonderful teacup inspired by my wists, decorated clothespins, lavender hand sanitizer, a pouch sewn from leftover wedding fabric, water bottles (which she collects), water bottle cozy with her favorite musican's (The Jicks) album art on it, kitchen staple of curry powder with a recipe, a rapunzel scarf, crystalized ginger, leopard print nail file, fused glass tree pendant, fused flower magnet, and lots (and I mean lots) of coupons (!!!  Smiley   !!!)

Thank you so much ollieorange!!!  Can't wait for package two!!!

Package Two

I received package number two a few days ago.  I am really happy with this package.  I received an embroidery kit (which I've wanted for several years now), AND a stenciling kit.  Altogether, I received, a tee-shirt, socks, embroidery supplies (lots of embroidery floss, fabric, a hoop, scissors, a small embroidered butterfly project to try out, recycled cardboard holders for the embroidery floss, embroidery needles...I hope I'm not leaving something out), and a stenciling kit (acrylic paint, medium to mix with the acrylic paint to make it permanent, freezer paper for stenciling, and a sponge brush), and check out the card she sent!  It's so cute and I'm very happy with all my lute!

package three
I received the final package a while ago and am now just getting around to posting pictures.  I received new additions to my wardrobe which really made my day.  Here is everything!  I received a black fight club tee, which is wonderful because the only one I had was white and I really needed a black one.  I not only like the design, but she chose an amazing shirt for the transfer to go on.  It has ribbing on the arms which conceals flabby arm, and the collar of the shirt is a looser fit, reminding me of french style tees.  She also made me a cotton skirt with a large/thick waistband, which helps it to stay in place and hides tummy bulge.  I really enjoy how flattering this skirt is.  The pictures don't do justice,  but it's a skirt that can go with pretty much anything and be classsy, cool, professional, etc, whatever I need it to be.  I also received a cool headband which is really fun.  It brings out my natural side Smiley

Thanks so much OllieOrange!  You totally rocked these packages and I'm so happy with them!

This is the package I received from Troublet Smiley

Here are the beautiful (and useful) potholders/hotpads that were crocheted for my kitchen.  I donated a few to the group home too as most of our hotpads were donated to the new group home.  These we get to keep Smiley

Here is a close-up of the beautiful card that she sent along with the goodies!

This is the purse that she crocheted for me.  I've always wanted a crocheted granny square purse, I've just never had the time to make one...or anything for myself for that matter   Cheesy

Here are the useful tips for grocery shopping and being extra frugal when in the kitchen (This is exactly what I needed)

And last but not least, here is the apple butter, taken just seconds before it was put to good use on some bagels!

Thank you troublet for the wonderful package and helpful/useful items.  I am one happy girl now!

17  Easy Peasy Kitchen Cabinet Door Decor in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by AttieNichole on: January 04, 2011 07:46:41 PM
I had a few days off and decided that I wanted to craft something, but I was tired and after getting some much needed sleep, I found a quick and super easy idea for my very ugly kitchen.  I'm renting a very tiny apartment, one in which I am not allowed to paint or change much.  I'm technically not even allowed to put nails in the walls.  Anyhow, this is a simple project that I did in about thirty minutes Smiley

I had old magazines, and plain white cabinets.  [I do not have before photos, but you're not missing much Smiley]  I thought, why not add some color?  So I took some neat seasons themed pictures from these magazines, tacked them to my cabinet doors (I used rolled up tape strips but only because I didn't have sticky tack.  I recommend sticky tack).  I just put them up in a paneling effect, making sure the edges matched up Smiley  Voila!  Instant, free, quick decorating and color for a very bland kitchen!

Great if you're like me in a place where you may feel as if you can't change much up.  Enjoy!

I received from puffy!  I intend to take better photos but wanted to post what I had quickly to show off my excitement!  When I recieved, I was amazed at the size of the package!  Everything was wrapped in newspaper and grocery bags (which I can make plarn with!) yay for eco friendly packaging!!!

first of all my favorite was the patchwork skirt!  Yay!

a cute wallet with a gnome.  Reminds me of travelocity lol

she also made me a fantastic wood carving.  I am still not able to take a full photo yet without it coming out awful, but it's beautiful and has a lot of detail.  Here is a small portion of it.  It's the lyrics to a Led Zeppelin song!  It's the perfect wall art piece!

(Still trying to get a good photo...)

hippy themed iron on patches!

hippy stickers!

resin necklace, beaded orange/peach necklace, and a shell button cover

cute little wooden elephant that I named Steve Smiley

LOVE buttons!

Thank you puffy!  Amazing package!

19  Re: Reduce Reuse Recycle Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by AttieNichole on: April 30, 2010 02:49:38 PM
This is the first time I've used craftster photo hosting, so I hope this works Smiley

Sorry it has taken me so long to post pictures.  I really do feel awful because I enjoyed everything that leashhh had sent me.  She has real talent Smiley

First of all, I loved her stationery Smiley

Here are the goodies.  The first thing I noticed was this cute kool-aid pouch which is now being used to hold school supplies, but after graduating in a week or so I will be using it to store my crochet hooks in one place Smiley

I may have to pierce my ears just to wear these.  Smiley  I love bottlecap crafts!

I am obsessed with this mini notepad

and have already used up this candle.  What a fantastic idea!

These are the homemade crayons.  I gave them to my sister because she's majoring in early childhood and wanted to show the class that she shadows in a new form of crayons.

these are the facial scrubbies that Leashhh made.  I love the patterns.  The other side is perfect for gentle cleansing.

and another favorite was the soap dish that she made out of recycling and melting plastic.  She also made me a strawberry lemonade soap that I plan to use soon.

Again, sorry Leashhh.  I meant to post sooner.  Great swap package!!!

I have many more pics to post, but havent taken them yet on account of not really being home.  However, I did receive from my partner psychonmemphis and loved everything.  Heres the one pic I can send now.  I wear these armwarmers that she made me all the time!  They're so warm and comfy and were inspired from my wist Smiley  I'll post everything else another time.  Smiley
