Whoops, apologies for the giganto pictures ... am still getting the hang of posting pics from Flickr. I need to figure out how to choose smaller versions!

I received from Roler!

She sent a great set of magnets, one of which is already under threat of theft by a friend!

Group shot:

Here's a felt ice cream cone (with our extra hot extra dry summer this year, I have gone through SO MUCH ice cream!):

And this cutie-patootie pineapple that is probably going to end up on a friend's refrigerator instead of mine, she lovess it THAT much:

A purchased magnet - a little Onigiri! Yum!

Another purchased magnet, this adorable Octopus that is her city's mascot:

She really spoiled me with this lovely "iced cookie" magnet kitty! LOVE!

And then her last crafted magnet, this lovely stuffed felt kitty who is reading an author we both enjoy - P.G. Wodehouse. Kitty is reading "Jeeves & Wooster", J&W! Hee!

MY FAVORITE. It's not even going on my refrigerator, it's going on the wall next to my reading chair! There's a screw there that it can hang out on.  Grin

Lastly, she included one more itty bitty purchased magnet (we sorta kinda spoiled each other). This hilarious wacky friend-of-a-bear character, a chick that looks like a little round easter candy:

But is really two magnets, so it can sit on a surface and hold something up:

The inside is hilarious. It's almost like an egg inside, am I seeing that right Roler?

Whatever it is, it's cracking me up. It's currently holding a receipt for a return I have to make next week. I won't lose it now!!

THANK YOU Roler! Such a great package. I love the kitty. And the kitty, lol. And the octopus cracks me up every time I walk past it. And my friend thanks you for the pineapple. LOL!

I made a faux-pas. Some of the participants in this swap are also in the culinary dotee swap, as was I.  I accidentally switched the labels and they went to the wrong partners.  I asked my dotee partner to remail the magnets to Emilywilde.  I'm so embarrassed.

Every. Single. Christmas. Smiley Every year, one of my siblings or I will send packages to the wrong house. Never fails. There was always a call, now a text or email, saying "DON'T OPEN THE PACKAGES! Please re-mail them to (whoever)!!!" or saying "Your package will be late because it depends on (whoever) re-mailing it to you!"

Short version, don't be embarrassed. Smiley Or at least, don't be for very long.  Grin
26  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Men's suit coat pattern for a stuffie I've made on: September 06, 2015 05:28:12 AM
I made another one and have realized it's really the collar+lapels that gets me. I can't seem to make both work. I can make it one or the other.

So I might have to go lapel-less and just make it an "outerwear" jacket, not a suit jacket. Except his valet would never have let that happen. LOL (He's a VERY proper gentleman!)

So .... I dunno. Maybe collar-less would be less obvious.

Ha! I always lose my craft supplies, because I want to bring it to the computer to compare or photograph or etc etc and then it never gets put back in place. Oops!

Fingers are healing more rapidly than expected, I think I shall be able to craft the last couple magnets tomorrow, and mail on Friday! I'm typing today without much pain, and I managed to dress myself today without pain. Yay! (Zippers are nasty things when fingertips hurt!!)

Crafting was delayed a bit - burned my fingers taking dinner out of the oven. I don't even know why I did it .... I knew I didn't have a hotpad in my hand, and yet still, I watched myself reach in and grab the oven rack, in a fully-heated oven. Whuh?! Sigh. So, a couple days' rest of the fingers and I'll finish my last magnets.

Two crafted, one purchased, so I'm halfway there! Smiley
