3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 44 Gallery on: April 08, 2009 06:50:26 PM
I received this AMAZING package from dip_n_dot a while ago now and I'm finally well enough to post the pictures of it! I was expecting a pair of fingerless gloves, but she spoiled me rotten  Grin I actually got four pairs of fingerless gloves (in all my fave colours), a notebook and mini notebook with fairies (which i love) and some adorable cat toys which my kitty loves to death. On with the pictures!

The whole stash

Cat Toys (filled with catnip)

Aaaand a pic of one of the gloves on (perfect fit)

Thank you so much dip_n_dot, i love it all!

5  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Too Many Mangos. Help? Please? on: January 09, 2009 05:32:20 AM
Wow, thanks everyone! They all sound delicious and are making me very hungry. Unfortunately I don't think 12:30am is the greatest time to try them out, so I'll just have to wait until the morning.

Thank you all so much!

6  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Too Many Mangos. Help? Please? on: January 06, 2009 06:51:17 PM
I never thought I would say this, but I have too many mangos. I love them dearly, but things are out of hand.

My mum bought a box before we went away for Christmas assuming they'd all get eaten, but apparently it slipped her mind that my brother doesn't like them and she works full time, thus spending her days away from them. Now into the New Year, this leaves me at home every day with a box of rapidly shrivelling mangos.

I'm eating as much as I can and drinking about a thousand smoothies, but I still have at least half the box left.

So, my plea to you is this: Recipes. Mango related ones. Lots of them. I don't care what they are, I just need some ideas before I have a box of rotten mangos instead!

Thanks in advance,

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Extra Large men's pants --> high waisted shorty shorts on: October 07, 2008 06:25:40 AM
mmm, i thought about doing tailored cuffs but i ran out of time and then realised it was handy leaving them rolled, because they actually unroll about 3 times and become slightly longer shorts if im going somewhere short shorts are not appreciated.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Red, backless formal (prom) dress on: October 07, 2008 05:50:13 AM

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Red, backless formal (prom) dress on: October 07, 2008 05:08:18 AM
A combined effort between me, my mum and my grandma for my senior formal. Finished half an hour before the formal (prom for those in America). The colour is deeper than it comes out in the photos. It's a much blue-er red. The closest to it is the top detail. And the dress somehow managed to get crushed in the 5 min car ride to the formal...hoorah satin!

Top detail:

Back Detail (that nearly killed us all):

Full length at formal with 2 of my best friends:

With my date, another best friend and her date:

I do love how co-ordinated we all are.

It nearly killed us, but it came out well i think. Your thoughts?
