1  My Little Monsters Christmas Dress *~Picture Heavy~* in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by MisTiF on: December 16, 2007 10:05:54 AM
Short, sweet and to the point I use a Simplicity pattern 3856 for this dress.  I'm in love with the argile fabric as it jumped out and tried to trip me at the fabric store.

This is my first clothing construction project and it took me 2 nights (after the monster was alseep).  It's not perfect-the argile pattern doesn't match perfectly at the seams...but hey it adds character!  I'm super proud of this...I know it's just a dress but I made it!   Grin

She has a red long sleeve shirt that she will wear underneath for warmth and comfort as the fabric is new cotton and maybe a little itchy.  Thanks for looking!  Smiley

2  Polka Dot Goodness *Pic Hvy* in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MisTiF on: December 05, 2007 07:38:47 AM
Hey Guys and Gals!  I'm fairly new to sewing so please go easy on meh.  This is a purse that I did for older niece for Christmas.  I used a magnetic button for closure and the inside is just basic and lined.

This was before I attached the heart but I used a d-ring on the handle to do something a little different.

Thanks for looking!  Any comments or criticism is always welcome.

The tut that I used was http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=32204.0 the basic jordy bag.  I modified it a bit to my own specs but this bag was my insparation.

3  Dinos and Monkeys on blankets oh my! Pic Heavy! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by MisTiF on: December 05, 2007 07:30:52 AM
I hope that this is an ok place for me to post these.  If not, I'm very sorry and please feel free to move them.

For Christmas this year I did some crafting for the people I thought would truly appreciate it.  Here are a couple of blankets that I did for my niece and little brother.  They are both fleece tie blankets.

The applique is all done with my basic machine (a really basic machine that the lady at the craft store cursed!) that has 2 stitch functions, straight and zigzag.  To apply them I pinned them in place, shortened my stitch length to 1 and took my time around to apply them to the blankets.

This is the one for my niece.

This is the one for my little brother. He's only 6 months old so his is more for a floor play mat I suppose.

Thanks for much for looking.  Any comments and criticism are appreciated.
