1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / xmas stocking for DH on: December 01, 2007 03:54:51 PM
I was just married this year and this will be our first Christmas Smiley  My husband is from Germany where the customs are a little different.  Then again I don't know how many adults still have stockings that get filled by Santa, could just be my brother and I (we're 30 and 28 respectively) are goofy, lol.  In any case I didn't want my new hubby to miss out on the fun so I got a kit and hand sewed him a stocking Smiley

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / plus size reversible apron on: December 01, 2007 03:29:53 PM
I always have a hard time finding aprons....not something they sell at big girl stores.  The standard ones either have too short of straps or are way too expensive.  Anyhow, I thought "how hard could it be to make an apron?  you've got sewing skills!"  Well then I found two fabrics I loved so I decided to make it reversible and it got a little complicated, lol.  Several pin pricks later, I came up with this:

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / big ragged workout bag on: December 01, 2007 03:14:01 PM
I needed a big bag capable of holding two pairs of clothes, a bathing suit, towel, water, etc. and a duffel bag just wasn't doing it.  I decided to make one myself.  I had seen a pattern for a ragged blanket some time back - I got the fabric but never quite got around to it.  I took the same concept and just sort of pieced this together.  It works very well Smiley

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / first amigurumi - jellyfish, bear, rose on: December 01, 2007 02:56:08 PM
I'm new to craftster and have found inspiration for many new projects here. (as if I wasnt already too addicted to crafts!)  One new discovery was amigurumi and I'm hooked! (no pun intended)  Here are the first few I have done, I have plans for many more!
