I'm long overdue for a post in here ... therefore I'm not going to show you guys everything I dyed since the last time I posted... just the recent stuff.

Finally finished! Today I wove in the ends and blocked my Demeter Vest. The pattern is basically the Demeter Camisole (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/demeter-camisole) from Sensual Knits worked in Noro Kureyon Sock. I made some modifications though, due to the striping yarn. Firstly, I changed the neckline by working straight across, back and forth. The cute little split in the original version was going to wreak havoc with getting my stripes to line up.

Then on the bottom lace edging I originally thought I could make it come out half black / half purple so that the fact that it's worked sideways wouldn't show in the stripes too much. However, the stripes weren't long enough for that and it was coming out colorblocked. I frogged and went with 2 repeats of the lace pattern from Marigold Socks (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/marigold-socks) then 1 row knit, 1 row purl, and a purl bind off. This gave it a nice wavy, lacy edge.

I love that there are both brown and black stripes in the yarn -- makes it much more versatile.

This is a hook case that I've been working on designing for several months and was published at the beginning of this month in a free online crochet magazine - Crochet Uncut.



I use mine for both hooks and sock dpns since I both knit and crochet. There's also a flap pocket that I don't have a very good pic of from my case -- on the pattern page all the pics are from my pattern testers and you can see it there.

I recently made this Hello Kitty bookmark for a swap. You can see the "I Love Hello Kitty" stitchmarkers that I sent her in the photo as well. I designed the chart myself and have just put it up on my blog.



It's beaded in square stitch and then sewn onto a crocheted felted bookmark.

Again all of these were done with kitchen safe dyes.

Just finished another pair of socks. I used SWTC TOFUtsies in a green/white colorway.  The pattern is Mojo by Donyale Grant, which is available on Ravelry as a free download:

These are the first socks I ever started and the second ones that I've finished.  (There was an incident with a careless husband and broken knitting needles that caused them to be put on hiatus for a while.)
