1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Snail Shell Beach Purse from Frugal Knitting house with tutorial!!!! on: April 11, 2008 09:01:40 PM
Does anyone know where a live link to this pattern can be found? I've googled but everything comes up as a broken link.  I'd like to look at it and modify it to make a sweet large beach bag.

Thanks jodinan and Esjay82!  I worked on it over 3 days. The square pattern really makes it feel like the blanket goes faster.  I never thought about doing it on a scarf.  I bet that was really cute!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Sequin Question on: March 28, 2008 10:43:53 PM
I've seen tutorials on this site for making sequins out of different types of plastic and I'd really like to give a go at it. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a simple "sequin punch"? I've googled of course but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I'd really prefer not using a regular hole punch to make a gamillion sequins, then put a hole in each one, then finally sew each one on....

Any help would be greatly appreciated Smiley

I love the gray yarn you used on the skull bag. It looks so comfy and warm lol!

I'm still relatively new to Craftster (love love love it!) but here is my first knitting post!  I made this over a weekend as a means to avoid pesky visiting-from-out-of-town-family.  The pictures aren't that great but I used a graduated square pattern, little squares at the ends building into larger middle squares.  The yarn isn't very soft but it is perfect for tucking a bundled kid into a stroller for a walk.

I love the fabrics you used!  I would totally tote a laptop to the park in something so cheery. Congrats on perfecting your pattern Smiley

Hi! I'm Tabatha, I'm 21, and I live inbetween Canton and Cartersville but work in Towne Lake/Woodstock. I knit, bead, sequin, and craft all kinds of things.  I really would love it for a group to get together! With the cost of gas it is impossible to drive to ATL to craft.

I'm actually in the middle of a sequin project right now. A friend needed a dress gussied up for a tacky party but wanted it to shine so I've been sewing sequins on using the seed bead method (thread through cloth, add sequin, add seed bead, back down through sequin, repeat). I plan on starting on some sequin ballet flats on Monday (google Rebel's Mermaid shoes) using the side fasten style you mentioned.  I looked around for a tutorial but never found one for sewing single sequins as opposed to sequins on a strand. If my shoes go like I plan I'll try and post how I went about it Smiley
