1  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / A gift for someone on: December 24, 2008 03:46:43 PM
Hi everyone!

I am in the process of sorting and purging; a little early for the new year, but it feels good. During this process, I came across a gift that I would like to regift as it holds some not so good memories for me. I thought someone in the fiber arts department might like a bit of quiviet. It is a cowl type scarf that would have to be frogged, but since it is in pretty decent shape I thought someone might like to have it. It has a couple of moth holes ... sorry. I will send it off to the first one in line; consider it a Hanukkah present :-)
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Just had to tell someone on: May 28, 2008 08:33:18 PM
I just had to share with the folks I know really understand. I got a new sewing machine!!  It is a Husqvarna Emerald 183 and it does everything !! I am just thrilled, I never thought I would have anything this nice. It even threads the needle for me. Whoo hoo

I was going to make a pair of wrap pants this evening after I got home from work, but as luck would have it, the dog pulled the fabric off of the table and then threw up on it - guess I will have to wait till tomorrow. That's okay though, I'll just spend the evening testing out every little thing  Grin
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / maps on: February 17, 2008 07:33:20 PM
Any suggestions? I have two oversize atlas' that I want to make travel journals out of. I want to take the pages, fade them, fold them and then bind them. The problem is in the fading. I can't use the pages as is because you wouldn't be able to use them as writing paper. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fade the map so I can use it as writing paper? The idea I have in my head is there would be faded map for the writing paper.  Thanks everyone!
