I love, love, love your kitchen. My own is horrid, but so overwhelming in it's ugliness, I can't get beyond it yet. Hmmm ... are you close to Portland? Do you make house calls?

94  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Making coasters on: January 24, 2008 05:04:15 PM
It's a few months too late, but I just finished making coasters with old CDs covered with felt. It was a perfect crafty idea for a just turned 3 year old. She got to spread the glue (all the way to the edge with her fingers) and stick on the felt, then decorate each coaster when both sides had dried some. Easy, easy and she got a kick out of it cause she got to see it used later in the evening.

96  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fifties Kitchen Cupboard...help? on: January 24, 2008 03:08:41 PM
Ohh ... don't change it! It is perfect as is. All you need do is get a formica kitchen set (red, I think) complimentary dishes, maybe an electric percolator, tea towels embroidered with little dutch girls ... you will be set!
97  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Sashiko Jacket - Christmas present for myself on: December 24, 2007 11:21:32 AM
It is soooo beautiful - I am agog with envy at your talent. I, myself, can knit a scarf. Now if the sweater length continues to be problematic for you, I am sure I could find a short person who would be happy to wear it for you. Did I mention I am 5 ft tall?
