1  Felt/Hand-stitched "welcome" Sign in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by bewitched2982 on: August 18, 2009 06:32:01 PM
I'm not entirely sure this is where to post...but it is a crafty houseware in a way so here it is!  My project was inspired by the awesomeness at Checkout Girl's blog - she is amazing!  So here is my take on her work:

and a little closer...

i plan on doing more of these - the felt is sooo fun!

2  Re: Twilight Swap Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by bewitched2982 on: June 03, 2008 09:01:15 PM
My partner still hasn't posted what I made for her  Cry So I will do it for her!

First is the pair of earrings I made.  The colors are from the books: red = blood..vampires, ya know?; blue = Bella's sweater that Edward loves; amber = Edward's eyes when he's not thirsty; green = Forks

Next is a bracelet I made.  Colors are the same as before and there are some 'charms' that say Edward, Bella, Love, Forever, and Vampire.

These are some stickers.  The images are *not* my original design.  They came from Deviant Art and I just edited them a bit.  But I really like them!

This is the side of the awesome bag I made!  I was so in love with this bag.  It's made from 2 records.  This side is Debussy and if you look really close (at least in person) you will notice that the first song is Clair de Lune!  The other side looks the same, only with a green paper thingie in the middle.

Here's the bag from a top view.  In case the music theme is too vague, I chose it because Edward is such a music nut!

This last image was taken before the project was complete; when I finished, it was kind of a bust.  I was batiking a t-shirt with Alice's face.  When I put the black ink in and then tried to remove all the wax things went horribly awry!  Hopefully Ironic likes it anyway!

That's it!  My first swap completed! Cheesy  Hope you all like them!

5  Warhol-esque Picture for Mother's Day Gift in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by bewitched2982 on: May 07, 2008 09:40:21 PM
So, first off I'm not sure this is the right category... if it's not please move it and accept my apology!
And now, on to the pictures.  This first one is the original; it's me and my mom when I was about 3 (gotta love my mom's great hair  Roll Eyes ).

Here is what I did with it in photoshop.  I know it's not super amazing, but I have very few photoshop skills and I did this in a couple of hours on whim.  So I'm pretty pleased Smiley

If anyone knows a lot about photoshop and wants to give me any pointers, that would be much appreciated!  Thanks for looking!

6  Mosaic Tray in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by bewitched2982 on: April 15, 2008 04:15:49 PM
This is another gift I made for Christmas last year.  I like it but I think it could have been much nicer.  Oh well, it was still the best gift at the dirty santa gift exchange! Wink

7  Weasley Clock from Harry Potter in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by bewitched2982 on: April 15, 2008 04:11:52 PM
So I'm a bit of a Harry Potter nerd (along with a large part of my family). For Christmas this past year I made a Weasley Clock for my aunt/uncle/cousins.  I was very proud of it!  It actually tells the correct time but it has a hand for each family member as well.

The only thing I wish I had done differently is the color of the paper I used on the photos.  I think sepia tones would have been prettier.

9  Crochet Bag with Fabric Applique for Mom in Crochet: Completed Projects by bewitched2982 on: April 15, 2008 03:57:42 PM
Woo..my first project post! Cheesy
I made this bag for my mother and just finished it a few days ago.  It's in the mail now and she should get it in a couple days...i hope she likes it!

Here is a close up of the applique.  I used some of the left over fabric from the lining.

And here is a picture of the lining..which I hand-sewed since I have no sewing machine Sad

I hope you all like it:) Let me know what you think!
