21  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / There's no place like home... on: October 30, 2008 05:26:41 AM
So, for Halloween, I am to be Dorothy from Wizard of Oz.  Apparently, I wasn't happy with spending a bit of money on some 'Dorothy Shoes' (though, now I'm second guessing myself on that one) and I decided to re-con some old Mary Janes that I had in my closet.

I PAINSTAKINGLY glued every one of these sequins on - ONE - BY - FRIGGING - ONE!  Clearly, I've taken a leave of my senses - I should have just slapped glue on them and sprinkled them with red glitter!

I've blogged more about them, if you're interested (blog link in my signature).

Thanks for looking!!!
22  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Felted Keychain/Pouch on: October 28, 2008 05:19:16 PM
I made a cute little felted pouch / keychain.  I felted a sweater some time ago and made a bag from it.  Having a bit left over, I decided to make something else.  Anyway - here it is .......

More information about it on my blog (in my signature).

Thanks for looking!!!
23  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Sleep Masks on: October 26, 2008 04:51:44 PM
My girls (8 and 5) decided today that they needed sleep masks.  I let them choose the fabrics and I made them for them.  I should have made them smaller to fit their faces, but I just used the same pattern that I'd drawn out for a sleep mask of my own.

More pictures and details on my blog - if you're interested.
24  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Bega? Sewing Machine on: October 26, 2008 01:44:13 PM
I was in a thrift store yesterday and saw this sewing machine.  I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this sewing machine.  I have 2; however, if it is a decent machine I might go back and get this one - as my girls (ages 8 and 5) are starting to use my machine more than I like (I'm sorry that I'm greedy ... but.... well, you understand)!  Wink

If you're at all familiar with this machine, I'd really like your comments!!!
25  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Not really a quilt ... but, crazy 'pieced' project on: October 26, 2008 01:02:55 PM
I actually pieced this a good while ago (my daughter wasn't much older when I pieced it, than she is in the picture - and, she's 8 now!!).  I found it last night, while cleaning my sewing room last night, I found it and decided to frame it, as is.  The size of the block worked really well for an album frame that I had on hand.

More information on my blog (in my signature), if you're interested!  Thanks for looking!!!
26  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Hot / Cold Packs on: October 25, 2008 05:51:53 PM
I made some quick hot/cold packs for my Mother-In-Law's birthday.  I'm so happy with how they turned out!  I made a large one and a smaller one.  I've put more information about them on my blog, if you're interested.

More pictures are also on my blog!
27  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Vinyl Wrist cuff with embellishment! on: October 18, 2008 06:20:04 PM
I made the vinyl cuff below out of some scrap vinyl, ribbon and a couple of D rings... You can read more about it (and see more pics) on my blog, if interested!  Thanks for looking and (hopefully  Roll Eyes)  commenting!!!

29  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / How many WIPs? on: October 07, 2008 07:38:34 PM
I'm just curious - as one with MANY WIPs, how many do you have?  Please.... someone..... make me feel better about my lack of completed projects at the current moment!  Wink

30  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / New crochet throw blanket - Christmas gift or should I keep it for me?? lol on: September 27, 2008 07:00:01 PM
I haven't posted a project in FOREVER ... but, I've been working on a few things for Christmas and I thought that I'd post one.  I really kind of want to keep it for myself - but, that would just be wrong, no?  lol

Anyway - here it is ..... a few pictures.  Basically a big granny square with scalloped edging.  It's approximately 50X50 finished.

Scalloped edging....

Comments appreciated...  Smiley
