1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Fused Trash Bag Dress on: April 06, 2012 10:01:08 AM
It could be wearable if I put a closure in the back. I ran out of time though and didn't get to. It also needs leggings or something on the bottom cause it's kinda sheer. But if not for that, it's definitely wearable Smiley
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Fused Trash Bag Dress on: April 05, 2012 08:59:00 PM
I'm pretty sure this is where this should go, but if not please move it where it needs to be Smiley I've seen quite a few of these awesome grocery bag dresses so when my school said they were looking to do an exhibit on recycled fashion I jumped on the chance to try it for myself.

The top is 8 layers of bags fused together then cut into the scallop shape, after that I pinned them onto my dress form to get the right shape then zig zagged stitched them together. The waistband is fused too and the skirt is all strips of the bags. The starburst wrapper chain is something I did in high school, it's at least 15 feet long!

If you have any questions about the process I'd be happy to answer! Now onto more pictures!!!! Smiley

Oh I'm sorry, my classes aren't that hard but I'm in marching band and that sucks away all my time. Haha I felt bad for the beanie baby too, when I removed his head he almost looked like he was frowning and sad. Poor beanie baby

I told my brother I was making him this for christmas, like 3 yars ago Grin, but that definitely didn't happen. I kept wanting to add stuff to it and paint it and touch it up and blahblahblah. Anways I started college recently and my classes have been pretty easy so I've had a lot of free time and finally finished this! I had lots of fun ripping his head off  Wink. And this is not my original idea I saw something similar online somewhere's

Wow this is super cool. I hate when my clocks tick, it makes me want to throw them on the ground, smash them, and then toss them our the window. >Smiley  So anyways this is really awesome.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Prom and my Amazing Technicolor Dream-Dress! on: June 10, 2009 11:52:05 AM
I love that dress soo much! It definitely looks like it fits your style and isn't one of those boring cookie cutter rom dresses. You definitely went out with a bang. Awesome job!!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: To interface or not to interface... on: June 09, 2009 12:41:20 PM
The interfacing just gives it a more professional finished look, especially for that time period. For this pattern its is especially useful since the neckline is square, it will help it to stay looking square instead of an odd rounded square Cheesy but it is not completely necessary if you absolutely hate using it. Good luck, love the pattern!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: prom dress :) on: June 08, 2009 10:32:42 AM
