11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: AG doll dress and pinafore on: August 23, 2010 06:03:19 PM
Aww, cute!  I always wanted one of those dolls when I was a kid.  I kind of still do.

It's never too late to indulge your inner child!   Smiley
12  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / doll campfire - need materials advice on: August 23, 2010 05:27:28 PM
My daughters and I want to make a toy campfire for their dolls.  I'm not sure what I'm going to use for the base - maybe wood in a doughnut shape?  I want to make a ring of rocks and leave an opening in the middle to put a battery tealight underneath.  What kind of adhesive can I use that will work on rocks?

Great idea for the tights.  My middle daughter is a dress/skirt girl, so I could definitely get a lot of mileage out of this for her.  I usually find a lot of style winners too in the Mini Boden catalog, but this last one - not so much.

This is a dress that my mom made for my daughter's American Girl doll.  Aren't grandmas wonderful?  It's McCalls pattern 3275.  I hope that she won't stop making clothes for my girls' dolls now that we have our own doll clothes business.  Cheesy

I don't have the words to describe how amazing this is.  I think my favorite part is the knitting on the pins.  My daughters would probably sit and examine this for hours.  Congratulations on fulfilling your task to "be awesome."

Cute fabric and the elastic back is a unique touch.

The flowers with button centers turned out so cute!  And I know my own "girly girl" would love the pink lace at the bottom of the skirt.

I think all of your outfits are adorable!  I really like the fabric combination of the bustier and skirt.  You mentioned the vest was your own design.  Are the others from patterns?  I would love to know which ones if they are.

The jacket is my favorite.  I might have to look for this old pattern on ebay.  Smiley

I really like the Blouse & Skirt set (could be because I'm a sucker for blue).  What is the top made out of?  It looks lacy.
