Thanks for the help. Based on your answers and a few other similar posts I found, I broke down and asked the parents for some measurements (I had wanted it to be a surprise, but that's ok.) The dress is almost done.
Very nice! I love the look of the wide collar. I own three rescued pit bulls. Two are therapy dogs and I'm always looking for ways to make them look more approachable. A service-type vest helps, but the collar would make more space available for petting!
Dear Mothers and Aunties: I plan on making a dress for a friend's kid but they live VERY far away. Please help me decide what size to use. (I know adult clothes pattern sizes don't usually come out the same as RTW clothes, and I'm assuming it's the same with kids stuff.) The little girl is 2yo and since I can't measure her and I don't have a kid of my own, and I can't kidnap one, I need help. What are typical chest, back-neck to waist, height measurements for a healthy growing 2yo?? Thanks
That is so awesome! I wish I had thought of this when my neighbors hung a dead deer from the tree along our shared property line. This may have been understandable in the country, but we are definitely in an urban downtown area. Maybe next hunting season I will spray paint on the deer. Thanks for the laugh
I think you have a great idea! I was just thinking the same thing while finishing up some last minute gifts. I have been making neck wraps (or tube scarfs) with fleece scraps. I realized that I can whip these up in just a few minutes and it would be great to hit the streets with an armful. Thanks for the added inspiration!
