1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: My first ever Fimo: Loco Rocos! on: April 10, 2008 02:03:36 PM
AQUABATS!!!
I have seen them play SO many times in my younger days!  Way before their glory days when Fury of came out... back when they were still nobodies!  Oh man... just relived my teen years Smiley

Holy crap I am so jealous. My boyfriend got me into them and we saw them last year opening for Rancid and they only played for like 20 mintues and we didn't even stay for Rancid and it was amazing. Before that he saw them years and years ago with the Hippos. They so rarely come to Vancouver and it makes me sad.

Today I made my first ever Fimo project(s). It was exciting.

I started off with the Aquabat mascot thing (www.theaquabats.com) for my boyfriends keys. It didn't turn out as amazing as I had hoped but I think it's pretty decent for a first try. Used a penny to show the size.

Then I decided I'd try something that would probably be easier and definately be cuter.

Loco Rocos! (www.locoroco.com)

The first one went really well so I got excited and made them all! Again with a penny for size.

And at home on my computer desk being awesomely cute:

The red one and the green ones are my favorite.

I've also got some crocheted locos if you're interested: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=239245.0
5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Loco Roco Juggling Balls on: April 09, 2008 04:27:11 PM
Made these a while ago as juggling balls for the boyfriend to teach me how to juggle. I'm a quitter and juggling is hard so now they mostly just decorate my computer desk.

I also made some fimo locos if you're interested: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=239246.0

She looks saucy. I don't think an orange could handle her. Maybe a melon, but an orange wouldn't stand a chance.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Have you ever had a knitting related accident? on: February 29, 2008 04:52:09 PM
Last Saturday I was furiously knitting a mitten to finish off a set for my dad who went to chilly Quebec for a week. The boyfriend relaxed on my shoulder and I accidentally got him in the eye with a dpn. I felt AWFUL. Now he stays out of the danger zone while I'm knitting.

Ha, I love that thing. A very clever spoon rest!
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knit Graffiti - lets have a good 'ol discussion! on: February 12, 2008 12:39:17 AM
I have never seen knit graffiti aside from a few pictures online ages ago. I remember being amazed and inspired but nothing ever came of it. Perhaps I will try some knit graffiti.. or maybe crochet graffiti since I'm a wimp and crochet is faster.

Would love to see pics of people's local knit graffiti if anyone has some.
