I love how this organically evolved into  this amazing piece of art. What a great partner you are, and I am sure the recipient is at peace every time he looks at it, and cherishes it, I know I would. I'm swooning

This is my addition to cupcakeguru's halloween theme tea towel.
I decided on two designs. The vampire is stitched in glow in the dark thread by DMC and is an Urban Threads design. The gravestone is a Sublime Stitching design, but I added another crack to it at the bottom, and added the flowers to the sides, and the 2009 TTTV under the RIP is also stitched with DMC glow in the dark thread.

The whole towel so far

I Sew Cute~ fabulous job per usual. Fantastic mermaid! Great detail!
~glenda your design is darling! I think its brilliant to include the states abbreviations on there from the groups locations! HOW COOL!

I've decided on a design for cupcakeguru's towel, and I have it on the towel now, just have to get it done! I'm super excited about it too! Oh, Yea, BTW- cupcakeguru, the sublime stitching tea towel you sent out to stitch on is AWESOME, I LOVE IT! I GOTTA get me some of them. It feels like the eco-tote did, only softer!

WOW! Those are some delicious stitches in those colorful circles, I have to try them sometime! That is DEFINATELY a chain stitch. I've seen some that say there was a chain stitch used, but it looked more like a split stitch, and now i know for SURE what a chain stitch is! I've been a little confused about that lately, so I'm SO glad you cleared it up!

I love the tweet also- very clever! So is the tweet!
The goldfish is super cute also- it looks like its already swimming in water!
and fenifer- your woodland critters are cute cute cute!
I received cupcakeguru's tea towel today! I'm having a hard time narrowing it down to just one design! But I think I've got a good idea of what I want to do now after looking at it for a few hours. Fabricfriend's witch is SO much cuter in person- her broom is AMAZING! There is some cool stitches in there I've never seen! Maybe I can get a close-up of it in daylight hours, its great!

YEA! I'm so glad you like the Day of the Dead Frida fabricfriend!  I love love love your witch. The design came from Amy at Quixotic Pixels( I think I spelled that right) on flickr. I stitched this up last year. I love her dracula too! SO CUTE! I can't wait to get it!  The hermit crab is FABULOUS! LOVE the redwork! The shamrock is beautiful, and the satin stitching is perfect! Oh how I try to do satin stitching, but its never perfect! I'm in love with the amusement park entrance~ Awesome Work! I smashed my first two fingers of my embroidery right hand in the garage panels Friday, its hard to feel anything but tingling now, but the first two days there were periodic sensations that of needles being stabbed into my cuticles, and alternating with feeling like they were burning Cry  I don't think they are broken just nerve damage

OH I love the squirrel! My oh my does Glenda's zodiac towel look amazing! Love the crab! Great theme choice glenda!

I'm finally finished with fabricfriend's towel. She gave a few choices of themes- day of the dead stuff/kitschy religious/vintage sewing. Since I collect day of the dead stuff, I wanted to go with that, and after a few questions to fabricfriend, I decided to go with a day of the dead frida head. I've purchased many items from a friend of mine out of texas, with day of the dead related stuff he sells. I took this design from a few items I have bought, a mug, mouse pad, and light switch plate cover. I wanted to tint it but I just loved it how it was, so I opted out of color tinting. I did use DMC Lighted Effects Gold metallic thread for the earing's I hope she loves it! ( I'm seeing some faint pencil markings I need to go erase!)

Ready for my next towel!
