1  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Seija Set-along on: September 15, 2008 11:31:49 AM
Haha I don't know anyone having a baby either... I am thinking about donating it or perhaps just holding onto it until I meet someone with a baby.  Either way...

Here's some pictures of the finished hat (and me looking a hot mess)... the blanket is still in progress.

2  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Seija Set and modified Knot Ugly uh... mini-cardigan? on: September 03, 2008 11:46:29 AM
I love this and I'm starting my own set... although for whom I'm not quite sure...

If anyone wants to start a CAL... I'm going to start one and here's the link:

Hey!  I just started my own Seija Set from the Happy Hooker and thought that maybe people would be interested in doing a CAL.  I'll be posting pictures regularly... hopefully haha.

Thanks!  It was kind of tough figuring out how to do some of the stuff, but I think I did a good job for it being my first FO haha.
6  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ FEB on: February 08, 2008 07:45:21 AM
Acrylic is the way to go when you're doing something like this.  Also, I live for the most part in a small town about 3 hours away from anything resembling a yarn store, so Walmart is my main *read "only"* supplier... and they only carry acrylic.  And besides, that way if you really don't like the way one square turned out, you didn't use hand-painted wool imported from Britain that cost you an arm and a leg plus shipping.  Hellas!

Here's my Feb block... I only used two colors (pink and cream) and decided that each of these blocks are just gonna use up old yarn that I don't have enough for another project, and that it's gonna kinda be ugly, but whoever gets it is gonna love it!

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Beer Gloves!!! AAARRRRGHHH!!! Help!! Please!! on: February 05, 2008 11:26:14 AM
I have a question about the Beer gloves.  I'm working on them right now and umm... The cable stitch pattern has rows 1-8, but then says repeat rows 1-12 for pattern.  I am assuming that I should repeat rounds 1-8, but I guess we'll see how that goes.

Here is my block... I finished last night.  It's in a baby pink yarn color... Just leftover yarn from the grandma's

10  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Antlers Scarf on: January 23, 2008 04:33:08 PM
Yes, everyone should purchase this book because it has alot of GREAT patterns that are all more manly than any other book I've found, many of them only having a couple patterns for men, and since I really want to be able to knit for myself.  This was also a great introduction to cabling in a non-threatening way (a.k.a. not a huge cable-knit sweater) that looks awesome with any solid color yarn.  Happy knitting!
