edit: here is the tutorial! i hope it make sense because i we other terms in the netherlands and i ad to use an translation! if you have questions then ask them.
- please do not use this pattern for selling, this is a free pattern!!-

In this example the headband is 4cm wide
1 First you have to make chains from something further then you ear to the other side something further than your ear.

2 Then you just single crochet and Increase on both sides untill you think the part is wide enough (because this is one half, so in the example this part is 2 cm and than the whole headband will be 4 cm wide). bind off.

3 Than you start to make a chain of chains, this must be not to short because you have to bind it up to a knot behind your head with the other part.

4 if this piece is long enough you start to single crochet on the headband part and if you are on the end you make a chain of chains as long as the other part by step 3 crochet back on top of this all (also the sticking out chains)and bind off

5. start at the beginning of the headband where the chain of chains with single crochet on top of it ends (just pick a side you like because you have two of them). And start directly with decreasing single crochet to the other side and turn around with decreasing. now you go on untill in this example the headband is 4cm in the wide.

6. crochet around bind off and finished!
12  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Discussion and Questions / anyone expierience with a vertical loom on: January 03, 2008 06:24:38 AM

my question is if anyone in here does have experience with a vertical loom, because i really like to build and use one. First i need some more information, because searching on the net isn't really helping and the history parks in netherland are open in the summer. I know what it looks like, how it basically works but still...
So if you have information on the vertical loom, tips and tricks and other information about the loom are welcome!!
